Nope. His name was "Inigo" (no "d"). Sorry -- that bugs me every time I see it here! You just happened to be the one I replied to this time. So, maybe "indigo" is really a color? I can't tell which he is saying in the movie and I've seen it spelled both ways online. I chose this one because it suited my argument. I don't consider indigo and violet different colors. They are both purple. That's why I combined them. I use the mnemonic Roy G. Biv. I just combine the last two. Don't even get me started on fuscia. I take your point well. I also see Andy's point. She could have just directed the staff to put out more nuts to make sure her security was taken care of and she got her treats as well. However, the security shouldn't have been pilfering to begin with. Keep in mind, none of this might be true at all. If I read it correctly, it was an email from some editor who got it second hand, etc. It's possible that Her Majesty has nothing better to do than mark the level of nuts in bowls, but it would be odd. I fully agree. I just see the inherent weakness of systems as a reason to limit their potential impact. A 'catastrophic only' type system will not do as much good, but it will not cause as much damage when the inevitable abuse comes along. I see government that way in general. Limit each level to those things that can only be done at that level. The closer they can be done to the individual level, the better. We fully agree on this. One point we may have forgotten is that facts are suspended to further an agenda, regardless of the personal beliefs of the person involved. In that case any stated opinion is not reflective of intelligence at all. This is a problem if the opinion is stated as fact, underlined by the perceived intelligence of the person stating the opinion giving it(the opinion) unwarranted merit. I continue to agree. Even more nefarious is when an intelligent person spins geniune facts in a misleading way to support their conclusions. Often, those people seem to become politicians or news anchors. Fully agree. My observations of her suggest she is quite intelligent. She is also quite opinionated. That tends to get in the way of intelligence IMHO. To state something like that, you must not have grown up in a fundamentalist church, as I did. Many Christians believe that Jesus is God (not all do), and uniform in his design (in other words, he is only one color). Any person that splits humans into ethnic groups and then proclaim that the one omnipotent God is of their same tribe, and not of the other tribes, is a racist. I don't think she's ill-informed about Jesus being from the middle east or of Jewish birth. If she chose to believe as an adult, despite her knowing those things, that he has white skin, or is of northern European descent, then she is nothing more than a racist. That's not the same as being ignorant. I'm fairly familiar with quite a few relgious beliefs and permutations. I'm familiar with the Christian infatuation with the Comma Johanneum (source of Yeshua's divinity) history. Since when is the skin color/race of somebody an opinion? If you say that Jews in the middle east during the roman occupation where white, you are obviously purposely ignorant or unintelligent. I guess you mean 'different' in a cosmetic sense. Why wouldn't you have a negative reaction to someone that is different in values or acts in a despicable manner right in front of you. As I said, there are many groups one can divide into. I don't think the majority of the divisions I cited were cosmetic. Personally, I can't tell what football team someone is for or where they work by looking at them. I feel negative reactions to lots of things that are 'different' from me. Pants falling off the rear, stinky Europeans, men in skinny jeans, etc. I actually tend to react by befriending people I felt the negative emotional reaction to in order to push past that thought process. I've met some really great people that way. My reactions to aberant social behavior in public can be very negative. I don't consider that ethnocentristic. Some people just need an ass-whooping. But she is quite obviously very intelligent. Insulting someone else's intelligence because you disagree with their opinions makes me question your intelligence.
