As long as you're having fun it's all good! As speeds increase you'll be able to fly the air easier; getting used to 'cupping' the air with your back was very challenging for me. Still is. Enjoy the ride.

As long as it takes. Sorry mate, that's as good as I've got. I've seen people nail HD in sub 10 hours with many jumps, others struggle for sit after 10. I'm nudging 25 or so hours, HD is soooo damn close but I'm my own worst enemy. My only advice is: get a great coach (not a good one), trust their guidance, relax and enjoy the process. Take expectations off your agenda, it will only impede your process. It will take as long as it takes.

Congratulations! You clicked on the "Tunnel" Section of a skydive forum to bitch about tunnels! You win a virtual high five to the face with a chair!! Twat.

Coached? Yes, absolutely. Worth every dollar. Just my 2c.

Pigeon Forge: one of the older tunnels, choppy air, better than nothing. Paraclete: relatively new, one of the largest, wall to wall air, great staff, one of my most favourite buildings on the planet. They will look after you, work with you and fast track things. They will know exactly what to do. Spend the money, take the drive (extra drive if it's further) and enjoy. Spend as much time there as you can afford - it will be worth it IMHO. And it's a 20+ hour journey for me to get there, I'd be roadtripping if I could mate so there's not much of an excuse!

I thoroughly enjoyed that. Thank you!

Or have the decision made for you.

Hey Frontloop, Squeak is on the money but you do have more options in SA and Vic. Have a look at http://www.skysurfer.com.au/forums/index.php? and post away if you wish - locals from all the states can answer your questions. You might even be able to get a couch or lift to a DZ if needed. best of luck, happy travels!

Derek Cox from Paraclete XP (NC tunnel) has recently moved to Dubai. They have suggested that you can get in contact through them if you're looking for information. Derek is a great coach, lovely bloke and damn fine flyer. Quite a few XP coaches have been "poached" to Dubai, if my experience with the NC coaches is anything to go by you will have top instructors to assist you with your flying. Best of luck, please report back as it's another option for Australians not explored yet.Quote

I appreciate the reply LouDiamond. While I may not agree that the question has nothing to do with Argus a new thread may be started. -

OK so I'll try again: With this in mind can you please tell me what your DZ policy will be on Vigil's with regards to the numerous random firings considering that these events pose the same risk to both planes and skydivers? Can someone please also explain why my previous post posing this question was deleted? I will be taking a screen shot of this reply. -

With safety in mind, what is the DZ stance on the random multiple Vigil firings and do you plan to affect a ban on these AAD's as well? -

Thanks you very much for posting! Very inspirational. Have you heard of Dale Elliott? http://www.daleelliott.com/Skydiving____.html Good luck with the RW! -

Any recommendations for AFF courses in Adelaide area?
Sadist replied to AdamB's topic in Safety and Training
Hey Adam, Come over to http://www.skysurfer.com.au/forums/index.php? and fire away, might get more speedy reply than on the US forum mate! FWIW I did my AFF at Lower Light many years ago, loved it. From others that have been to the other DZ you can't go wrong either way, you'll be very well looked after by either camp. There will be more current individuals that can fill you in on SS. Cheers, Martin.
