  1. 111, Grue is onto something, put on your jumpsuit and cinch your rig down exactly like you would jump it, have someone take a side picture and email it to Aerodyne (post it up here too). It sure sounds like your main lift web is short, the side shot should show what angle your horizontal strap is at (some call it the lateral). Also is there a big gap between the upper legpad and the lower when it is cinched up to jump? At RI we recommend 1" max and 1/2" min. my previous rigs were about the same (Javs and Vectors). The horizontal should be almost level or slightly down and the hip ring should be close to the center of your hip or -slightly- forward You didn't measure yourself did you?
  2. Just trying to back up Ferg's statement that most Americans do not speak *english*........ just watch alot of US television. Welcome to the US of A.
  3. Oh yeah, how could I forget Mark Hewitt.....this all happened before you started jumping, you cheater! You asked Kirk!
  4. Trey Johnson, Craig Buxton, Jack Jeffries and I think Mike Traad or Kirk Verner, Howie Daugherty was the cameraflyer. They trained out of Trey's C195 equiped with a tv and vcr in the rear bulkhead for debriefing on the way up, before the world meet in Eloy that year they needed right door exit practice so Trey contacted my old dz in Oregon to use his old Westwind, the week before they came up our pilot landed the Westwind with the gear still in the wells, slid to the side and used the right engine intake to vacuum the side of the runway, our dzo got Ray Farrell from Skydance to bring up his B90 and they used it for a week or so.
  5. read the above post, short, sweet, and to the point.
  6. I think he is still at Lake Wales.......last I had heard. Try there, try the tunnel in Orlando. Good luck.
  7. Night sessions are swell but it is still in the middle of the week, I wanted to fly up and need to save my vacation days for team training and meet travel, and weekends work better for me. So, why?
  8. Why is this camp set in the middle of the week?
  9. I had a hard time getting them my self, so I finally went to a store that sells lexan and cut my own. Use sticky velcro to attach it and almost as good as new. That may be your only option until Jim gets tired of building furniture and starts building hats again. Unless......you can get a hold of him.
  10. I'm flying in to PHX @ 9pm on the 29th via America West, if anyone needs a ride to Eloy contact me, I have room for one, two if you don't mind being squished in for 40 minutes. Click on my profile for email info. SYS
  11. Isn't there a CRW dog Chaz out there? ps nice interview in parachutist, you're probably gonna pay for it by you know who though.
  12. Where's the link to the story? Kirk, I expected so much more from you, where did your mother and I go wrong!?!?!?!
  13. I think it shows that the motivation is directed the wrong way, put on a show first then run the meet, that is not cool. I understand you want to show case your DZ some but it should not be at the expense (money, time, quality of the meet) of the competitors. My teammates complained to the DZ about our A/C not working most of the afternoon and we were handed a note saying that we owed the DZ $335 bucks for the room, my teamies countered with "not a penny until we get power AND A/C". It got fixed thanks to Carrie but it was the end of day 1 of 4 way. (thanks to Benno for his help also) Cool stickers do not make a meet go smoothly and neither do power problems and over flowing porta potties. That all being said there many bright spots that need to be acknowledged first of all registration, it was absolutely painless this year, and again Carrie who was literally cracking the whip on the A/C guys to get it done, now. She also chased out the CRW guys who sort of spilled out of their big center room and took over ours for their gear storage. They grumbled but ended up giving us all of the leftover food and birthday cake, gotta love the CRW dogs. The dubbing stations were faster than anywhere else yet, I never waited more than 2 or 3 minutes to dub. (thanks Paul, Pat and Jan) The judging was as good as I have seen, we never got (or deserved) a break, nice job judges. (again) Perris has the capacity to run a really outstanding meet if they would just drop the bullshit pageantry and sweat a few more details.
  14. I just wish Perris would get more porta potties (and service them ALOT more often) and fix their power problem in the team rooms. We had no A/C thru most of 4 way ( including our training days) and the power was intermittant until 8 way, same as last year. And while its cool that they want to make Nationals special for all of the competitors, maybe just a little less "show" and a lot more "go", we were jumping after 6pm one day. I'm not saying that everything could have been better, but unfortunately the problems were pretty glaring to me and my teammates.
  15. Ya gotta love this sport, 16 people who don't know anything about 16 way trying to tell 16 other people how to do 16 way. Glad I'm camera.
