    I agree with this. Perhaps locking the elbows and using the lats to steer/flare would help.

    Yup. I think buying gear right off AFF is probably not the wisest decision. Right when I got off AFF I rented gear until I could downsize to the canopy I wanted to buy (loaded at .94). As for harnesses, you could check out all the container manufacturers size charts and make note of what harness would fit her and then decide if you wanna buy used or new. note: Im not a rigger or an instructor and so this is all just my opinion. For a better opinion she should be asking her instructors what they think is best for her.

    I almost shat my pants on my first couple of AFF jumps. But I think it had more to do with the buffalo wings I ate the night before.

    Just make sure that all of them have their proper grips and if they do, give a shake to let them know the count is going to begin and then give a nice loud count. At least thats how I was taught.

    Very good idea. I did tunnel time before doing AFF and I know it helped me a lot. I never had any problems with stability or maintaining heading. Good luck!

    If your jump numbers in your profile is correct then I would advise against it.

    I think its an awesome discipline and I have respect for people who are nutty enough to do it. But I cant see myself getting into it. Last thing I wanna do is fuck around when I get close to the ground.

    You sound very excited. I did most of my AFF in one weekend and it was one of the best weekends of my life. Enjoy being able to jump without having to worry about packing a rig, haha!
