    It would take a serious pro to take out Obama, he is extremely well protected. Long range rifle shots are out because there is nowhere he will be exposed for long enough to make the shot. That and making a cold bore shot at range can be a serious pain in the ass. Close range is always available as long as the shooter doesn't mine being executed and can successfully smuggle a gun into an event and somehow manage not get noticed while aiming. Bottom line is that the secret service does an extremely good job and it would take someone very determined with extensive training to do it, some redneck will definitely not be able to pull something like that off. I would also bet that he is being driven around in a B7 protection level vehicle.     Another way to look at it. Russia has yet to accept the US Air Force's offer to participate in Red Flag exercises. Why? Because they know that they will get the pants spanked off of them in air combat against the US airforce. The last country to behave like that to my knowledge was Israel who refused to attend for a long time because they were known for having one of the best air forces in the world and didn't want to be embarrassed by the US Air Force.
