    I knew Bob. we jumped at Skydive Palm Beach and you are correct he died jumping an antannae 1184 feet, had a key to dumbwaiter which eliminated the climb up. It is strange, the more I practice, the better I get!

    I am looking for the best place in the USA to do a cutaway and jump for several months to a year. Looking for decent living conditions, restaurant, camping, bunkhouses, showers, friendly people, etc. , Any help will be appreciated. I have been thinking Deland, any input?     Done quite a bit of BASE jumping, but focused on Skydiving out of planes if you will. Got a 100 jumps with no malfunctions. I often read of people flying to their main as not to lose it, makes perfect sense. On a cutaway, opening altitude should be around 1500 feet. What should the priority be, flying to the dropzone and watching where the main goes or flying to the main. It seems like to catch a cutaway main you will probably be going downwind most of the time, how are you going to set up an upwind landing, oh massive hook turn, I forgot! It is strange, the more I practice, the better I get!

    Anybody got a favorite team out there they would ;ike to boast about. I like the Tarheel fan myself. I liked Kentucky, but they decided they did not want to play no more and got on the bus and went back to Lexington. Of course I pull for Alabama, but they usually do not do well in round ball.     He is correct, to be dehydrated is bad for you overall. Your body has an ingredient called interferon which helps fight it, only bad thing is it makes your body ache. Roger Brown It is strange, the more I practice, the better I get!

    I was wandering if there is a problem getting someone to repack the reserve on a REFLEX or is it like other pop tops. I am new to the sport and need help. The rig has 200 jumps and is excellent shape. No reserve rides yet. You met this somewhere else. I am sorry, but I am still confused about the Catapult system. I have heard about part of the cloth hanging out of the cap made him get out of the plane and fix the pack. Is this all irrevelent. GOFAST It is strange, the more I practice, the better I get!

    I can see it closing down some drop zones that are just breaking even. It will not hurt the drop zone I am at. They got the money. Somebody may have to sell a Ferrari or two. GOFAST It is strange, the more I practice, the better I get!

    I cannot believe you are basing your theory of the safety of the catapult on one incident in Cross Keys. If someone bounces with a Mirage, does the Mirage suck. If someone bounces with he rig you are using, does that mean the rig you are wearing sucks or could it sometimes be pilot error. GOFAST It is strange, the more I practice, the better I get!

    Thanks everybody for the comments. I believe I will keep my Reflex, it is in awesome shape. I'll say to heck with the bad attitudes towards it. It is like it was pointed out earlier, we always face a chance of a bounce in a horseshoe malfunction. GOFAST It is strange, the more I practice, the better I get!

    What should I do, look for a new container. How much money would I be looking at to convert every thing to a new container. I have a good main, reserve, and a cypres.     It will be for sell somewhere unless by luck a skydiver stole it. If the thief does not know the value they will ditch it. Try pawn shops or any skydiving loft in your area.     I am just getting out of AFF and bought a full rig with a 170 Spectre as a main. I weigh 160 with gear it would be 185. I have jumped a 190 with a little work needed. In other words not the smoothest landings. I bought it thinking I could rent equipment until I get where I can land it smoothly. How many jumps will it take to get used to the downsize. My instructor says I have good canopy control. If I overload it what is going to happen, I will just bust my dumb ass! GOFAST It is strange, the more I practice, the better I get!
