WOW! What a great weekend. Five jumps, and my first HOOP DIVE!! I was the first one through! hehe So I owe beer for the first hoop dive. I guess I will owe beer next weekend too, since I will hit my 100th jump mark!! I thought I would reach it a long time ago, but you know how these things go! well gee, beaver...you know, who cares if the cops get a % anyway, because some of us don't travel with ...what is the best word for it, in the U.S..."contraband." I was a law-breaking (among MANY other adjectives I can think of!! hehe) youth...but I am a little more settled these days. You know, its funny...I still like to PARTY DOWN but I am more reluctant in certain situations these days, such as traveling. I once got a big 'ol chamber pipe through security at Orlando's airport, pot on me, and all kinds of lids, screens, chambers, and so forth stashed in various places. (NOTE TO ALL POLICE NAZI TYPES: if you are wanting to bust me good luck that was 8 years ago, and if you are a skydiver and give a shit about pot smoking you need to get a brain transplant.) These days, though, I just figure, hell, its a boogie! There will be people there with some stash!! (i.e., people who DON'T have an out of state lic. plate OR are braver than I am these days.) I am only 25!!!!!!!!!! holy shit.... ok reality check. its 2:38 A.M. and I couldn't finish watching Moulin Rouge (cool movie but WEIRD!) on DVD because the home theater system is too loud for my honey to sleep (IF IT'S TOO LOUD, THEN YOU'RE TOO OLD!!) even though he helped wire the fucking thing. I know Karen, the owner of Freedom Means Choice, very well. Almost all the freeflyers at my dz wear her suits. She is like $200 for a whole suit and a little more for some extra things like more pockets or whatever. But what she includes with it are great. It is SUPER DURABLE and cool looking. You don't think Skydive Dallas Freakers would wear something uncool do you?? LOL The extra $50 is worth it. Plus she has an online site where you can see tons of colors and an order chart. All I will say is that Altico (manufacturer of Dolphin) lengthened my horizontals for free and it only took them one day. I paid $52 for overnight shipping, but they did the work for no charge. WHOA nelly!! hehe I LOVE the Disc. Wings Channel. My b/f and I watch it all the time. We recorded 2 special so far, one was on the World Cup 2001 (EXCELLENT SHOW!!) and the other is called Parachute Technology. It covers the history and making/tech of parachutes from the beginning. No offense, cat, but I can't STAND the Lifetime channel. Blame my mom I guess, she watches it constantly. I grew up with it on, and I now refer to it as the "Crisis Channel" or "Crisis Network." It is more than that, Mark. That video has been a sore spot since the beginning. There is more to the story & I don't want to get into it. I can handle teasing and ribbing when it comes to my goofs, just like anyone else. I can laugh at myself. But usually people let things go after awhile. I don't see the point in embarassing someone that much. Again, it goes beyond this thread. Also, one of the points I am making is that regardless of the subject matter, it would be kind if you asked the person in the video if it was OK to post it on a worldwide newsgroup. It works fine. You should probably repeat the process 2-3 times. You just follow the directions. I don't have to put a towel on my head but I do have to use kitchen towels or something when applying pressure to the sides (near the ears) of the helmet to keep my hands from being burned. Also, make sure you PREHEAT the oven and then turn it OFF before you bake it! A guy at our dz put it in while the oven was still on, and let me tell you it makes for a great story!
