    Alex- What is 18.5". But if you're looking to home security, why cut down a single shot? One shooters, even a bazooka, don't lend allot of flexibility to your response. Personally recommend a pump for home defense if you're going with the street howitzer. First, you can get most any in an 18.5" barrel. Second, you can get a gauge that is reasonable to your house (tho I like the 12ga myself). Third, taking a hacksaw to a firearm is just aesthetically wrong. Last, the action of a pump shotgun breaks all known language barriers for, "Get the *&%$ out of my house!" without ever having to fire a shot, much less actually chamber a round (tho I wouldn't advise bluffing in this situation).     Everything coming back to money is the precise reason for girls to go out with skydivers. Ya know from the start, no matter what we do, we're all broke cause we jump too much. DOn't expect fancy gifts (unless you like a canopy over diamonds), fancy resturants (unless Aviators Bar & Grill starts havin a dress code), don't expect a fancy convertable at sunset (but a kisspass on the sunset load might be in order).     While the proliforation of trivial litigation in this country drives me nuts sometimes, I think a suit for traumatization of a minor (possibly class action) would be in order. Possibly a discrimination since they are singling out individuals instead of wasting their resources on everyone evenly.     Well, while you may have a valid point, o' monkey brother, I think it would only be fair to all others of the fairer sex to be given the oprotunity to learn and give the monkey hug in order to foster a positive spirit for this event.
