    Really hard in the US to be ANYWHERE that no lights on the ground can be seen. My initial night jump I could orient off the lights of Fayetteville to the east and the 10th Marine Artillery firing 155mm illumination rounds into Ft Bragg impact area (aprox 12 km NNE).     Being Airborne qualified gives you good background experience so much of the anxiety of jumping doesn't bother you. Aside from that and your extensive PLF training, courtosy of Benning, that's about the extent of your advantage. You still need to learn to fly your body in the air, which the head down exit posture from a high performance aircraft does not promote. You'll need to go through most of the training for freefall that everyone else does, but the reduced anxiety lends to a faster and more relaxed attitude towards the sport i.e. less time worrying = more time learning. Just take it one step at a time and don't become discouraged if you have bumps along the way. Welcome to a larger world!     Think folks are rapidly developing a strange viral infection that's been going around here. Definitely an airborne virus, only real treatment is immersion in vast quantities of air or beer. Better quarantine ya before the rest of your co-workers / students become infected! Fortunately, I get to go to work for an organization/family day picnic and get off in the afternoon.     Butterflies are normal. You seem to be fairly confident in your abilities tho, so I'd talk with your instructor first. You should be receiving retraining for currentcy and repeat one S/L before going back onto freefall. After that, your already freefalling on your own and working on air skills. Starting all over with AFF may cost more thatn you're willing to spend and much more than your remaining training in the S/L progression.     Lisa, I should still be in town that weekend (fingers crossed) and not catching rays on a big beach. LeRoy should still be in town. Gimp may be back from school, but haven't heard yet.
