Don't know if this is good or bad but, I'm an: Elephant You're a favorite amongst any herd, aren't you, my little Elephant? Like your animal alter ego, you're probably more devoted, family-oriented, and loyal than your average creature roaming the jungle of love. For you, mating is probably more about expressing your feelings than just satisfying sexual urges. Overall, you're great with people, and you always seem to have a story or comment that leaves the group feeling better about things. You're cuter than Dumbo, and smarter too, which is why hanging out with you is always a good time. With your charm, not to mention that sexy trunk, it's no wonder there are plenty of fans lining up to tango with you. Despite all the attention, however, you're probably not one to charge ahead into a romantic encounter without thinking first. You prefer to be friends first before letting things heat up. For you, romance is a seduction of the mind followed closely by your devoted heart. It's that authenticity that makes you so irresistible.

Dude, TB, not to change the subject, but are you climbing into an F-15?

My first jumpmaster always used to say "relax man, it's all about having fun"...always stuck with me. I know it's not a sentence from someone I know, but I always liked the line from Vanalla Sky: "Evey minute that passes is another chance to turn it all around."

Thanks for the great story and reminding me why I got hooked in the first place. It's stories like that, that keep me going until I can get back in the skies myself. Thanks again.

They do it to test the steam catapults that launch the planes, when they are in port and it's relatively shallow they send off big yellow blocks and the Navy divers recover the blocks so they can be used again. When they are out at sea and the water is REALLY deep, they send off old junker cars so that they don't have to worry about recovering.

65 is the Enterprise...I e-mailed this pic to my Dad a couple weeks ago (he was on the Enterprise in Viet Nam) and he told me the story behind the pic....turn out they're not just f@#king around, they send cars off for a reason.

Gonna use it for jump tickets when I get stationed back in Tampa in July. Got my re-enlistment bonus late last year and used it to pay off all my bills AND buy a used rig and all the equipment I need for now.

But look at the women the Raelian leader dude chose to be "surrogate mothers". I think his tastes might not be so bad after all. http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1101030113-404254,00.html

what would you say is the cheapest FreeFly friendly container?
ozthebum replied to Rookeskydiver's topic in Freeflying
I'd like to piggy back on the question at hand. My jump numbers are really low (14), so please pardon my almost complete lack of knowledge. I bought my rig at my 10 jump point (had the money...long story). It's an ex-student Wings container with low jump #'s and I'd like to stay with it as long as possible....Wings has won another lifetime customer. My goal is to get into HD type flying (don't worry, not for another couple dozen jumps). My question is/are, once you start looking at rigs what should you look for to make sure they are safe for HD/FF? Who can do the mods necessary? At what point should you just give up on modifying the rig you have and getting new container? And finally, besides this fourm, where would be a good place, online, for me to learn as much as I can about HD? Thanks. -
Q: Why do brides wear white? A: Cause the dishwasher should match the stove and fridge!

Everytime I get drunk, I don't ever get around to cleaning my house, paying my bills, going to work, etc. Seeing as how I don't like doing those things anyway, I guess it works out for the better for me.

When I left Calif in 95 (born and raised in central calif) I thought it was the best place in the world and always thought I'd get old and die there, but everytime I go back I hate it more and more.....give me the clean fresh air and beautiful land of West S. Dakota or Montana or Wyoming! Oz

When I was in South Dakota it was around $25 to regester my 78 Jeep and another 25 a month for insurance. Here in England I pay about $400 a year for my three cars (Rover, VW GTI and an old Mini), for road tax, another $50 a pop for MOT and about 1500 a year in insurance. Oz

I read about this dude at a college (MIT maybe), who wanted to see how fast he could get a BBQ from not lit to ready to cook. Tried it with liquid ox and it completely destroyed the cheap BBQ grill. All they had left was a pile of smoldering ashes. I'll see if I can find the story...pretty funny stuff. Oz Here's the link to the dude's web page: http://ghg.ecn.purdue.edu/~ghg/

I like the episode in the second season (think it was called "General Sherman") where Marge and Homer throw a party. After Homer gets all drunk and makes an a$$ of himself he wakes up the next morning and Marge asks him if he remembered what he did. In Homer's mental flashback he pictures himself with a bunch of sophisticated people, finishing a joke with the line: "and I said 'I really must get out of these wet clothes and into a dry martini'".
