  1. I was thinking "Hey most of these chicks are pretty hot" till I read this quote.....I've already got a case in me, so is there a curve I should be using?
  2. I wasn't born in them, but what ever happened to the good old days, when sometime shit happened? Sometimes it was good, sometimes it was bad. Why is it that now when something happens it always has to be someones fault?! Maybe I should have been born 50 years ago.
  3. I hope y'all don't mind if I add another question to this......would you count tunnel time as belly time? I got really low jump numbers, but I plan on spending a lot of time in the tunnel over the next year (I'm going through some traning so I'm not aloud to jump out of a perfectly good airplane ) Is jumping (so-to-speak) into FF with low #s but high tunnel time any more acceptable or is it still a good idea to build up the belly jump #s?
  4. That's cool that you got to jump with the dude.... For anyone who has the Cutaway DVD, if you watch it with Baldwin and Maxine Bahns[Homer voice]Ummmm...Maxine Bahns[/Homer voice] talking during the movie, they talk about who jumped and earned their A license and shit like that.
  5. It would take several million for me to say I'd never skydive again, but that several million would pay for me to travel around the world looking for the best scuba spots for probably the rest of my life (alcohol, bottled air and hookers don't cost much in third world countries ) Of course if I won 20 mil I'd buy the most badass Winebego, move to z-hills, buy everyone free jumps for the day (or maybe weekend
  6. I'd check the local library first, the library I use has tons of language tapes/CD's. They probably won't have any computer programs, but in my experance tapes/CDs will work just as well. Might save you some money....otherwise....yes I would recomend buying that program. It was good stuff, and also talked a little about customs and stuff like that, if I remember right.
  7. The dude who played Ground Rush in Cutaway was supposed to have had a couple hundred jumps before he was cast in the movie.
  8. I had the Japanese version of that program a couple years ago. I only used it about a week (borrowed it from someone to check it out). I learned more than I thought I would in a week, but I never use it so it's mostly gone now. Long story short (too late), I thought it would be worth buying it if I was going to use it.
  9. Never seen 24 or Nikita, so I had to go with Die Hard, but I always thought Keyser Soze was one tough bastard.
  10. Are any of you DZ.comers going to the Jimmy Buffett concert this Thursday in Tampa?
  11. The readers choice slideshow was amaizing....images like those are the reasons why it's so great to be alive
  12. When I lived in the UK, the local DZ wanted me to get a full BPA membership even though I was a USPA member. I didn't have an A license though so that may have had something to do with it. Back to the question....here's the US organization: http://www.uspa.org/ I too don't have enough experance to know the dynamics.......
  13. ummm..is that the requirement, cause I know neither the women or men want to see me dance the badger dance, cause if I dance, I dance nekked.
  14. Penguins suck....I want more badgers Oh, oh...how can I get a badger number?
  15. Ummm..I haven't had a good curry sence I left the UK almost a year ago...right now I'd give my left nu.....wel at least 10 quid. Make me happy and bring some curry to work. I'll live through you vicariously.
  16. damnit, i'm not see it near enough
  17. That was fu'kin cool. Is it just me or did the camera man flip off the jump plane at around the 34 second point?

  19. All four insrtuctors are from Z-Hills so for anyone there please pass along my thanks... Karol: Thanks for teaching my ground school...twice, I stil remember everything you tought me, both times. Eric: Thanks for taking me through most of my AFF levels both times....I'll never forget anything you tought me, and even though I never smiled, I had the time of my life every time!!! Boxman/Drew: Thanks for the time in the tunnel. I learned more from y'all during that time than I ever thought I could have. Again, thank you, y'all
  20. Dude, how about posting a pic of your first guitar...it's a long shot but maybe someone will run into it someday and will return it to you. I've seen wierder things happen.
  21. Cool, I thought I was the only one who smelled that. Does anyone know why that is? There is the theorie of gases expanding in higher altitudes and then finding their ways through the jumpsuit to everybodys nose... I think this effect is called "exit farting". Because when you smell those stinky things it's almost time to exit! Been there, smelled that... Feet up! Max I konw that smell too...but I really think the air has a different smell to it at altitude! Dove...that is the most awesome smile I've ever seen! I hope you never lose it and I someday get the chance to see it in person!
  22. This reminds me of something I heard on TV this morning about us (US) doing something to start bringing peace in the middle east. Not just Iraq is the impression I got. The first and only thing that came to my thoughts was...hold on one fu$%in' second, what about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, plus the "conflicts" in half a dozen other countries throught the world? Shouldn't we fix that first? Not much to add to this thread I guess, this has just been pissing me off all day.
  23. I had almost the same situation....made it through level 7 then 2 solos then I took about 2 years off. When I came back my DZ gave me a quick ground school refresher then doubled up my AFF levels. AFF1/2 on one jump AFF3/4 on the second and AFF6/7 on the third. After that I was right back to where I was and getting coached jumps. Just talk to the DZ and they should be able to set you up properly...and save you money.
  24. Cool, I thought I was the only one who smelled that. Does anyone know why that is? Anyway I only have low jump numbers, but before the last couple jumps I did I spent a lot of time in the tunnel with a great instructor (thanks Boxman). For those last couple jumps I found my fear and terror before going out the door was replaced by pure excitement because I konw what I had to do and knew without a doubt I could do it. Heart still about jumped out of my chest though
  25. From Calif, US (never moving back!) Been to: Oman Italy Ireland Bahrain Saudi Germany Bosnia Croatia Egypt UK Kuwait France Belgum Netherlands Spain Sweden (Best so far) In that order. Currently trying hard to add many east Asian countries to that list
