  1. i got a FAT military discount through RI, and my curve shipped last week. had i not got such a discount i would have gone with an infinity, but in my opinion the curve is unbelievably comfortable, and DAMNED sexy. gravity brings me down.........
  2. uberchris

    Tattoos?

i couldnt sum it up better myself. i have 8 right now, and all were summarizing my location and stage in life when i got them........i have no regrets. gravity brings me down.........
  3. a wise man, who happened to be my FFC instructor, once told me that its not necessarily about the number of wingsuit jumps you have on your suit (my current one being a P3 which i plan to skydive with for a long time...), but wether or not you have been in the complete shits before, IE severe flat spins, really nasty cutaways, etc., and dealt with it like a pro in your current suit...... how many of you that are jumping apaches, x-birds, colugos, etc. have really been in the shits, and how many of you have simply gotten a shitload of wingsuit jumps and moved up to the flying carpets? just curious thanks gravity brings me down.........
  4. im going to keep mine for a long time. and for the record, i was EXTREMELY surprised, i ordered mine the first week of october, and wasnt expecting it forever, but at the end of january it shipped and i was STOKED. this is going to be my fun skydive suit and will be the first suit i take off a big wall as well gravity brings me down.........
  5. i jumped with a broken hand in a cast. the way my hand was casted allowed me to squeeze my left index finger and thumb through my left toggle and steer/land without incident. it just looked rediculous skydiving with a bright pink cast, but i rocked it! gravity brings me down.........
  6. What size? I'll help look. Talk to me offline. Your rig is awesome! hellz yeah, ill call ya when my reserve gets here this week and well figure out when i can come by! cheers, im sooo stoked on this rig! gravity brings me down.........
  7. then dont jump there. problem solved =) gravity brings me down.........
  8. WHO THE FUCK CARES ABOUT ANY OF THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!??? hell, if people really want to see crazy videos, ill upload my recent venue of myself and my younger sister tugging on the dick of a half retarted shetland pony, under the influence of the cleanest ecstacy weve seen in years gravity brings me down.........

  11. guess what i picked up from fedex today? =) gravity brings me down.........
  12. so i have a brand spankin new phantom3 that ive only put about 10 jumps on...... yesterday during the flight and during gear checks it was zipped and rigged up properly, but im assuming that i forgot to really tighten the little velcro tab that holds the zipper in place, and at some point (probably under canopy), the zipper completely unzipped itself and opened up (im talking about the zipper where you attach your rig to your WS)...... it kind of freaked me out but it was non eventful.......... anyone had this problem? i hope my description made sense. gravity brings me down.........
  13. can i ask you something? i have a full time job in the coast guard, but i REALLY want to break into a wind tunnel and maybe be able to get some occassional discounted tunnel time to supplement my dream to break into video flying.......... how have noobie people broken into getting hired at tunnels? i am fuckin DOWN to scrub toilets and floors and do general dirty cleanup stuff........i live in the east bay and im wondering whats the worst that could happen if i drove down to ifly in union city and begged for a chance to break in as a grunt...... whats everyones story (thats employed by a tunnel????)?? gravity brings me down.........
  14. ive only got 25 wingies now and im routinely pulling BY 4k after waveoff........ after watching this video, it embaresses me to say that in my brand spanking new P3, i have only gone through pretending to pull my wing releases. im now going to make a habit of it on the ground, it takes only 2 fucking minutes to hook it back up. and i suppose there would be nothing wrong with pulling my wing releases under a good canopy at sufficient altitude as well, just to get a feel for it, no? this video really is a fucking AWESOME showcase and i thank the source for helping put noobs and wingers in check............ gravity brings me down.........
  15. you dont need to listen to anything i say because i dont have much experience, but i can say one thing - since you mentioned wanting to really get into the pattern under canopy and learn to fly your shit, (and im not trying to jump the gun too far ahead of time for you but im going to..........) DEFINITELY invest in some basic canopy courses after you get your license. i thought that after 100 jumps i was a good canopy pilot simply because i was jumping in hawaii and the winds/obstacles were enough to help a newbie jumper get dialed in. and they were to a tiny extent, but holy FUCK i took a canopy course last october, and just about 2 weeks ago and both have flipped my canopy flight world upside down into the right direction. its amazing how much you will pick up. i have become a MASSIVE advocate of continuous canopy courses/coaching (especially if you have talent at your DZ and they like you) anyways have fun in the meantime and good luck. gravity brings me down.........
  16. i was told last weekend something that made me decide to put my new canopy in the closet for a while and stick with what i got....... (its ok i have it and its not going anywhere) its not when everything goes right that youre gonna get fucked up, its when anything and everything goes WRONG>... low pull, shifty winds, landing WAY off the DZ on hilly terrain downwind, etc. etc. gravity brings me down.........
  17. hookitt's got some mad byron love, as do the rest of us! gravity brings me down.........
  18. as a kid sold herbal products =), worked at kmart, toys r us, worked at a call center, worked for a collection agency, a job placement firm, data entry, golf course, tech support for an ISP, then went to culinary school and started cooking for a living, started skydiving, realized i couldnt afford to skydive as a cook, joined the coast guard as an electricians mate, and have 1 year left on my active duty obligation, then im trying to get hired with one of the major power companies in the pacific northwest into an electrical apprenticeship program.........working on online college courses right now and i have the GI bill to get a degree if i choose to. ive worked all kinds of weird jobs =) gravity brings me down.........
  19. styled, they are nice and tight! i get so obsessive compulsive sometimes. i wouldnt have slept tonite unless i accomplished this gravity brings me down.........
  20. point taken chris. im gonna do a bunch of practice snaps before i touch my wingsuit. thanks everyone for the info gravity brings me down.........
  21. also, just curious, whats the best way to put an even hole through thin webbing? i was using a sharp punch with a mallot at work today and it seemed to work after a few good hits, then i used a lighter to seal up the edges. any advice? gravity brings me down.........
  22. that looks a helluvalot easier than this stupid cheap plier that i got. im not sure about the webbing im using, i grabbed some old climbing webbing that looks to be about 1/8" maybe? the right foot on my phantom3 needs a snap button to attach to the body of the suit under canopy, and its two layers of webbing doubled back on itself. if i can install snaps on cheap climbing webbing without problems, then ill try to install it on my wingsuit. if not ill take it to a rigger, but this seems fairly straight forward thanks for the link gravity brings me down.........
  23. search turned up nothing BTW......... im playing around experimenting with puttin snap buttons in some old climbing webbing i have lying around, and having a BITCH of a time. i bought a dritz plier kit and some #24 snaps, but im not sure if anyone uses these pliers in this type of application, or do you use a snap press? im using a hot exacto blade to get the hole sized properly in the webbing. any tips or pictures? im going up to my rigger this weekend but since i spent 30 bucks today im trying to not accept defeat so far the snaps and snap pliers are smarter than i =( gravity brings me down.........
  24. you and everyone else bro. it took me almost 8 months to get through AFF, and thats without having to repeat any of the jumps. ive been skydiving for 7 years now (mostly not skydiving for that time), and have just now gotten to where im jumping just about every weekend and getting all custom gear and new suits. i found myself working in a SHIT paying career back when i started, and over the past few years ive transitioned into a different and better paying career, and my life has slowly evolved, all because skydiving was the change i needed and the challenge to make me figure out how to get what i want in life. if you want this sport bad enough, you will find ways to make it happen, even if that means living out of a tent at your DZ packing tandems for a living or whatever. its all up to you, good luck! gravity brings me down.........
  25. why not just mount on top? gravity brings me down.........
