Anyone else besides Steve from DeLand get more than 5 jumps :) Bridge day definitly rocked!!!
-
Also... I think a lot of the reason for gaming is to find adventure. That is why I mostly stopped because I no longer need that :) When you are doing back flips from 3000 ft cliffs and jumping out of planes every weekend adventure is the last thing you need.

I used to be addicted to Quake and was really good at it. I quit gaming after skydiving for the most part except a slightly long Counter Strike addiction. All I did last year was Counter Strike and BASE jump. Not the healthiest things in the world :)

I definitly want to go. I haven't had a normal college spring break since I've been skydiving (which has been my whole college career). If done correctly and people show up it could be a winner.

^^^ Me too :)

3:5:5 For BASE: 0:1:0 Still an amazing weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!

I give my SSN away to all sorts of people. I was at the Perrine last year for the cancelled bday event but I think I'll stand in line this year... Despite that I got 18 there and will probably get at most three here :)

Anyone else do this? Had my first misshap because it was a light instructor+light student. Never out of frame just hard to keep up with. I know there has to be others. I've even seen a few.

Under a Stiletto 120 @ about 1.75. I have been doing a 180 on to final from between 400 and 500 feet. Usually I have about 1-3 seconds to hold both front risers before I have to let them up to let the canopy start planing out. I usually get pretty far and have plenty of speed to carve and stuff. What technique works best for others? I'm starting to think about doing the turn a touch higher to hold down both fronts longer so I can let them up slower.

I am going to be drilling additional holes in my helmet. I heard a while back that some of the carbon fibers could screw up the camera. I have a PC5 and was wondering what you do to prevent this or if its just untrue? Thanks

I'm getting back into video and just got a PC5. Was curious what parts people routinely tape up to keep out wind or keep parts on. Any other suggestions?
-
Did anyone see it? Better yet anyone capture it to digital so they can upload it to ftp.skydivingmovies.com? I really wanted to see this but of course was at the DZ that day.

I had one of me going off the New River for Bridge Day 2000. My dad put it up at work and said it got more attention than anything in his 40 years of working.

No step through. You do a front loop through the canopy. Originally the idea was gotten from a paraglider pilot that did it off a bridge somewhere.

Fuck you guys! Go canes! Actually I don't really care... But I am down the street from their home stadium...

Gotta learn to like the beer :) Nothing is sexier than a girl that likes good beer... except perhaps one that skydives too :)
-
Like new rigs or canopies :) Dove: I think I saw you at zhills New Years (judging from that picture in the pub). I was insanely drunk and don't remember who I spoke with that night though :)

...On a Stiletto 120 loaded at 1.7:1? What about for the same canopy at higher or lower wingloadings? Is there a website with this kind of info. Feel free to add personal experience with similar wingloadings (1.5-2.1) on different canopies.

To my understanding nothing of 6% by volume. We don't have any retarded sizing rules though. All the local breweries when they make bocks they are under 6%. No beer before noon on Sunday either. If you make any good beer you will have to share after a long day of jumping :)
-
How does this happen? Does it happen often? I've never heard of it happening on our DZ to anyone but I do know i've heard it to look out for. Thanks
-
How safe is this? I current jump a PD143r reserve and stiletto 120. What happens in a two out situation? Is it worse to have a setup like this? What if I was to downsize to a 96-103 of some sort? Would it immediatly spin up?

It took me over 50 BASE jumps to get my first cliff. Be careful and practice off a friendly span or antenna to get dialed in before you do it again :)

There has been talk about the tunnels now supporting vRW. Does this mean freeflying? Can semi-competent freeflyers now hone their skills like the rw people are doing? If so I think skydiving as a whole is going to see the bar significantly raised in the next few years.
