Thanks guys. did alot better this past weekend on my Pit. on the advice of a friend she had me tuck my neck and roll my shoulders, took a couple of minutes of practice, but felt totally comfortable in the air, did a 2 way with 7 points, so i must be doing something right. Felt alot more comfortable than "hugging the beachball" Chris I thought of the odds of me succeeding, versus the odds I was doing something incredibly stupid, and I went ahead anyway.

I recently got a brand new Pit Special w/ booties, when I took her for her initial flights this past weekend, I kept going low, does anyone have any advice to alter my body position to counteract that? Fitness and Skydiving project
airborne31582 replied to Rookeskydiver's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
This is just me, but when I started skydsiving I weighed about 200 pounds, as I got more and more into the sport, and I got into RW, I found it really hard to stay with people, I would always go low and my landing sucked. Now fast forward 6 months, I now weigh 170, I am no longer the fat ass going low, and my landings are as soft as a prom queens ass. I had to make some adjustments, because of the less weight I couldnt't really chase people around the shy, and I noticed my body flew a little different, but all it took was a few jumps to work everything out. Once I hit 165-168 I am going to reward myself by buying myself a Tony Suit Pit special!!!! Do you guys ever get withdrawals when you have to leave your rig at the DZ for maitenance? I always start to think how scared Kristen is without me, I swear my friends think I am a dumbass because I have an emotional attachment to my rig....but then again they are all whuffos. Chris I thought of the odds of me succeeding, versus the odds I was doing something incredibly stupid, and I went ahead anyway.

Her name is Kristen, she loves me and I love her, even though she gets really sad and lonely being in a duffel bag all week, but she knows when we leave for the dropzone she is going to get to play. Where do you keep your rig when you aren't jumping? Chris I thought of the odds of me succeeding, versus the odds I was doing something incredibly stupid, and I went ahead anyway.

Mass Media Portrayal of Extreme Sports
airborne31582 replied to airborne31582's topic in The Bonfire
I have to do a paper in my Mass Media Research class, I decided to study the ways the extreme sports (esp. skydiving, base jumping, surfing, mountaineering and snowboarding) are portrayed in the media, is there anyone out there who would like to put their two cents in? Now is the time to bitch!! Chris I thought of the odds of me succeeding, versus the odds I was doing something incredibly stupid, and I went ahead anyway. -

QuoteHehe. I actually know a single girl at new mexico state. Too bad I didn't know you were looking...

I finally did it!!!! I finally got some balls and asked a girl out, the weirdest thing happened to, she accepted!!! We are going out to lunch tomorrow afternoon after classes!! I thought after the horrible breakup I went through with my fiancee I would never get back in the saddle! She even seems to be a skydiver trapped in a whuffo's body! I love the episode where Bart and Ralph become friends, and Ralph tells Bart "That's where I saw the little leprechaun, he tells me to burn things" Also Homer saying "God, he's my favorite fictional character" Chris I thought of the odds of me succeeding, versus the odds I was doing something incredibly stupid, and I went ahead anyway.

I just saw Extreme Ops at the cheap theaters in Las Cruces, New Mexico, I think now that I would have rather spent the $2 dollars doing laundry or gas. Anyone else think they got robbed? The blonde was cute, but not worth the two bucks. That is about 90 minutes of my life I can never get back. What's the longest stretch of time you've gone between jumps?

I've been lucky, only one month, I was so damn pissy my friends couldn't stand me. Chris I thought of the odds of me succeeding, versus the odds I was doing something incredibly stupid, and I went ahead anyway. -
Yes I have, try looking into the face of that toal hottie as she chatted with you about school without cracking a smile. Lets just say this girl was quite loud...sounded even better from her side of the wall Chris I thought of the odds of me succeeding, versus the odds I was doing something incredibly stupid, and I went ahead anyway.

I am in the same boat Daizey, I am 20 years old and when I go home I actually have a curfew. I know my parents mean well but I am used to rolling into bed at 4 or 5 am, I have been home for almost a week and I miss my friends, I can't wait to go back to school, but hang tough, it will all be over soon Chris I thought of the odds of me succeeding, versus the odds I was doing something incredibly stupid, and I went ahead anyway.
