Thanks everyone.

Hello, I'm looking for a Houston rigger to pack a reserve and give an out of date cypress a refurb. Please let me know who I can turn to. Thank you,
-
Hello, Anyone know of any riggers in Columbus, OH? I tried to search but wasn't able to find anything. Thanks.
-
I had a Whuffo moment at my DZ, when I was complaining about the cost of a new rig (which I am in the market for).. One of the packers said, quite calmly, "Well, you can get into basket ball for $30." Nuff said!

My weekend ended today, Friday :-( 3 jumps today, crashed pretty good on my last one! Have a good weekend everyone! I'll be at work!
-
As soon as I showed up, the staff made me feel at home. The facilities are nice and the place is constantly growing. Team Fastrax is located there and they are very helpful with questions, even offering to make a jump or two with someone who is learning new skills. I recommend this place to anyone and will definately be back.

So I'm back into skydiving Val! I wish the WFFC was happening this year (as we all do)....we need to get a SDGC (or whatever DZ will be closest) weekend on, I'm sure Phrezone will organize! Want extra altitude? ;-) Keep it real, -J

Do 3 hours sleep make you feel weak or sick?
jumppilot01 replied to FlyinDawg's topic in The Bonfire
Weak or sick? There is a difference. I fly a 767 across the pond on a regular basis, and I'd rather feel weak....Cause if you feel sick, it means you''ve been up for over 24 hours. And trust me, long-haul airline pilots are often up for 24 hours +. You need to revise this poll. -
Good point!

Damn, I posted my 'welcome back' in an old thread that got 50 views since I posted it! And no responses! http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=419926;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread Has skydiving changed? ;-) Glad to be back in the sport!

Well, I know this is an old post, but it is funny how a few month break turns into a 4 YEAR hiatus. I made two jumps today, first ones in quite awhile! But I'm back!!!! Anyone else plan on doing Richmond?
-
Dude! You forgot me! :-) I'll be there for a few days, I think the 5th-8th.... Thanks for all the help getting me ready, btw!
-
I know I haven't been active on the forum for awhile, but I'll be there! For those of you who read this and remember my health insurance issue...Problem solved! Started jumping again a week ago!
-
(waking up with a hangover) I'll wait till I get medical insurance, I guess that would be the wiser thing to do. Thanks for listening to my rant. -jump
-
Hi Val, I'll look into that. I'm planning on visting in May if everything goes well...We'll have to go jump at Millennium or wheever when I do.

Which part of the dive do you enjoy more?
jumppilot01 replied to SkydiveMonkey's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I agree. The "holy s*it, I'm really doing this" feeling. The exit has always been the coolest part for me...you are leaving what oyu know and trusting your life to your skills and equipment. -Jump -
I'm an aviation major...The industry isn't doing too well. I actually do have a job as a flight instructor, but I have no benefits. I've found a new job though and start that next month...No benefits...The life of a starting pilot.

(grabbing another beer) Andrea, good point. However, my parents are my bread and butter, and you can't bite the hand that feeds you. Like I said, I'm going to the DZ next month (when the Seattle wx clears), so they'll have to deal with it...I've gone too long without an air bath (and spent too much money!)! blue skies, -jump

WARNING: self-rant OK, I have not jumped since October. I moved to Seattle, have no health insurance, which means no jumping for me. I am very ticked, since I've practice packed my rig 4 times since then. Pretty much it equals this: I graduated college, moved in with my parents and they won't let me jump due to the no insurance issue. At the 2002 WFFC I had the time of my life...Jumping partying and living! But alas, the real world struck. Man I need another beer. Thanks for listening. -Jump PS: I am going to the drop zone next month come hell or high-water.

Tuesday At 5: Chilling Video From Skies Over Washington...
jumppilot01 replied to DutchSkyCam's topic in Safety and Training
I'm sitting at my computer, drinking a beer, and I see that stupid KIRO 7 add on the TV. The add mentioned "dangerour skydiving" as a guy was coming in doing a swoop. Come on! Maybe I'll change my home DZ after I see this add, or, better yet, just get out of skydiving. Odds are the people involved with the production have zero jumps, and from those people you always have to turn a critical eye to, no matter how much research they have done. Uninformed people suck. Perhaps it will be an informative piece and I will watch it with an open mind. -Jump -
I would pik a Cessna 172, with a fast climb rate and an explosive payload, that is the bird to have. Actually, I would pick the F-14. It is the most badass looking plane out there. With a plane like that, something has to be seriously wrong with you if you can't get laid. peace, -A

Val, Would you? That would be the best! -Adam
