    The problem I see with these unions is that they protect the bad cops way too much. Makes it really tough to fire anybody that's broken the law, or rules of engagement.     They shouldn't be able to. Their complaint is that a couple of cops were undercover, and once they thought they got them all disabled, the cops took their masks off. Still doesn't make what they did overall, right. If I were the chief of police, I'd suspend the cops involved for a month without pay, at the very least. In the video he just handed the guy a bottle of gin off the floor in front of his feet. You don't think that's reason for search? What the cop should have done is radio for backup as soon as the driver started up and got in gear, then follow in his patrol car until the dude's cornered and taken down. If there's an activist group I detest the most, it's either PETA or Greenpeace. They are the most annoying bunch of stupid motherfuckers on earth.     Police have the power to detain and arrest. You and I do not. They have the authority to lean into a car to attempt to remove the keys of someone who is attempting to leave (not a good idea, but they can do it). Police 'initiate struggles' when perpetrators resist arrest. A key part of the trial might be determining if the cop was angry, or fearful the driver was about to cause imminent bodily harm to him. I don't see anything in the video that indicates the cop was shooting out of anger. Stupid mistake that ended a life.     I just don't think the law has caught up with the times, as drones for personal use is a relatively new technology. That said, there needs to be limits on drone use as it pertains to invasion of personal property. People are going to have to contact their representatives in congress and get something passed that will give them defensive recourse against drone flyers.
