How did the fireball transition from drifting to lit for maybe a couple seconds? Why did galen say this: "The reddish object drifted west, out towards the Columbia River in the vicinity of Sauvie Island. In a matter of seconds, it disappeared from view of the witnesses. " now Bruce has it as bursting and arcing away: "The object then burst into a glowing, fiery object and arced away to the west and then faded out. It was lit for about 5-7 seconds, 8 tops." Galen modified it to drifting, and the "seconds" was due to loss of view. Was there loss of view or is Galen just modifying the story to his liking? There is no loss of view in Bruce's telling. And why did they decide it was Cooper's plane? Why would a red fireball say "Cooper's plane" that night? They wouldn't have known anything about Cooper's bomb or ??? at that time.

In case anyone didn't catch why this was on-topic, Parsoneault's pitching device was called the "Fireball" machine. Really. You can see multiple references to it's name here http://www.google.com/search?q=Parsoneault+fireball+machine&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

377: these guys just want to get me going. First we're competing with bars. Now hangdiver wants to talk pneumatic cannons. When you set out to build the world's smallest atomic cannon, go air pneumatic for propulsion. http://www.avalanchemitigationservices.com/ http://www.avalanchemitigationservices.com/photos.htm Monty Atwater was doing it back in 1962 Evidently the first design was for a pitching machine? By Frank Parsoneault who worked at Douglas Aircraft. 377 will appreciate the seminal Parsoneault patent in 1959 http://www.google.com/patents?id=ZktUAAAAEBAJ&printsec=abstract&zoom=4&source=gbs_overview_r&cad=0#v=onepage&q=&f=false "Baseball Pitching and Fielding Practice Device" also see http://www.avalanchemitigationservices.com/images/evolution.pdf

Frito-Lay has a big manufacturing plant in Vancouver, WA for potato chips and other potato-based snacks. Manufactures and distributes for most of the Northwest region, western Canada and sole provider to Alaska. So that means: if Sarah Palin eats Frito-Lay potato chips, they most likely come from Vancouver, WA. (edit) Their Modesto, CA plant covers most of the stuff shipped overseas to military bases. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frito-Lay

?? are you saying we're off topic? We're discussing whether Cooper dug up potatoes from the Fazio's farm and roasted them on a fire made from twenty dollar bills on Tena bar. Galen Cook suggested that it was the most likely way Cooper survived the night after the fireball.

Hmm. potato stories...now you got me thinking. I was in Mexico when I was younger, and we were walking through these small towns in the mountains with packs. Kind of off the tourist trail. Lots of small kids in the towns running around. One night we spent the night in some field, and we heard some voices outside our tents. We were always worried about getting robbed, but then I hear my friend jabbering in Spanish to a bunch of kids in the dark. They ran off and we weren't sure what was going on, imagining the worst, but they came back with an armful of sticks and potatoes they dug up in the local fields. They quickly built a fire and roasted potatoes for us. Now that was fun..squatting around the fire, eating potatoes with some local kids.

Thanks snow, just got our potato buds in the mail yesterday. Be planting this week. Yes we get mail delivered on Sunday, one of the few places in the USA. Don't ask... really? I want to plant potatoes. what kind? I thought I'd seen everything, but then I saw videos on how to plant potatoes on youtube http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=planting+potatoes&search_type=&aq=f I never used to think I was a redneck. But last night I think I passed the Jeff Foxworthy "You know you're a redneck when.." acceptance test. I integrated a garden hose into the main water supply in the house. We've had low pressure for a long time, I finally had a brainstorm that just one section might be clogged and bypassed it. Worked great, I had forgotten how great a good shower is in the morning. Now the real redneck test will be how long the garden hose stays in place..

Thank You Snow. I had been to see 2 CPA's and have called the Elder Hot line and have a phone interview with an attorney on Weds. The waiver has already been in place since they told me about this DEBT. Now they are sending it to me to be signed (but the other SS employees told me they could do it over the phone - different employees and different answers. I have spent over 100 hrs on this and have made my self sick over it. I know more about my husbands business than I ever knew during our marriage. He was a very meticulous man and I have not found one mistake. What I have found is a mistake on the part of the SS. Since the total of this mistake is about the same amount - I am going on the assumption this is it until they inform me of what the overpayment is. If I am right I don't owe them a cent. Even though you apparently need the money, you have to just not get emotional about it..it's a bureaucracy. You can't fight, you just have to go thru the process. If you're right and there's no error on your part, that's great, just fill out the forms, schedule the appts, etc. Just be nice to everyone. These people are used to ranters. You're not going to be able to finesse the system. The only way is to do everything you're asked as efficiently as possible. Everyone in the bureaucracy appreciates that. Hey they're being pushed to eliminate fraud and overpaying. No system is perfect, they'll make some mistakes too. It doesn't matter how much time you've spent really. If you still have time to investigate and think about Duane Weber, then you've got time on your hands. (edit) I would also note that the Tea Party wouldn't really solve any of your issues either. So why speechify like a Tea Partier?

damn..you're good!

Some nice stuff at some web sites on how to deal with the SS recovery you've been dinged with. Here's the SSA form for requesting waiver of overpayment recovery or change in payment (the .gov suffix means these are government sites). The first link gives an overview of what the form is about and what to do with it. http://www.ssa.gov/online/ssa-632.html http://www.socialsecurity.gov/online/ssa-632.pdf overview of the process you should go thru here. The main thing: note that you're not unique, so just go with the flow and go thru the process. Ranting won't help. http://www.ptla.org/overpay.htm " Ask for Reconsideration. This means you want SSA to look at your case again, either by looking at your file or by meeting with you in a conference or hearing. Ask for a reconsideration if you think the amount of the overpayment is wrong or the reason SSA gives for the overpayment is wrong. Ask for a Waiver. If you agree that you were overpaid, you can still ask SSA to waive it so that you don't have to pay it back. Ask for a waiver if you think that the overpayment was not your fault and you can't afford to pay the money back. Ask for a Payment Arrangement. Do this if you think that the overpayment was your fault or you can afford to pay it back. You can tell SSA that you want to pay the money back a little at a time. " another overview here: http://www.utahlegalservices.org/public/self-help-webpages/social-security-administration-overpayment-q-as another overview here: http://drnpa.org/File/publications/pabss-overpayment-fact-sheet.pdf It looks like for people who can't afford lawyers, that there are free legal services that can help if you get to the point of needing a lawyer. Jo reported 'This Weber was NO relation to Duane that we know of. Our government would like to keep these things like this buried forever and be done with it" Okay, so Wayne Weber has nothing to do with Duane Weber. But are you saying then that Wayne Weber was Cooper? Or was Wayne, Duane? "Wayne Was Duane" has a nice ring to it. But how could Wayne be Duane, when Duane was Cooper, and Duane was Collins? I guess anything's good as long as it moves the merchandise. Attached.

Okay, back from the convention, and it was a bust. No one bought any of our bumper stickers, and ammo sales are down. Laura in marketing says we need to go more upscale...."the flow is in the Stewart/Colbert crowd" she says... So we're coming out with a new line of gear. First bumper sticker attached. I'm a little worried that the "Duane was Cooper" focus is not as much a draw as it used to be. But we can reinvent Duane.

Hey anyone who wants to Tea Bag it, I'm all for articulating your point of view. And if you want a revolution, sure, guns or votes, either way, the world tries both. I may be stupid, but it seems like a minority who wants to be a majority, by declaring they are more right than the other guy. I thought you get a majority by getting more people to agree with you? Or you try to kill off your enemy a la jihad. I think a lot of people can't get over the idea that everything is revalued more rapidly now. Just because you think something is worth something, (like your labor or property or ???) doesn't mean someone else does. And that's all that value is about, if you're talking physical stuff...what someone else will pay for it. All this yelling about rights, or constitutions, ain't going to solve anything. The way to get what you want, is to have people give a damn about you. That's the only interesting question: why should anyone give a damn about anyone else? Anything that improves that, is the path to success. There is no individual success. People seem to want to think there is. It's a myth. (well, the "american way of life" is a myth, so I guess that's another one of them) Well, there is individual success, but people don't want to deal with the repercussions of everything that goes with that. People don't seem to want to couple their desires, with what individual action can deliver nowadays. So I hear arguments about how it's unfair that things changed. Hell, there's more to come with globalization. A lot of the past strength of "the american way of life" was due to barriers that don't exist any more. What people really want is the relative, unfair, success. We've marketed a lifestyle that's not sustainable for everyone, so everyone argues that they should get it, and screw the rest. I only listen to people that are growing potatoes. You grow potatoes: you got your head on straight. Hey Jo, you just got the shaft: get over it. If you can't fix it, you just have to live with getting screwed. Lots of people get screwed every day. You won't get your way, whether you're right or wrong, by ranting. Honestly: you deserve to fail in this thing. You need to think about how to work with people and bureaucracies. Don't get so worked up..just go with the flow. Here's a hint: People help people who are nice.

I thought Sarah Palin just gave that speech at the Tea Party Convention. Sounds like you need to join the hordes who are going to Rise Up for the revolution. Is there any thing I can sell you to help facilitate it? I would have posted a link to all the youtube videos of Sarah's speech, but no one editted them down...they just posted the entire thing, multiple times. I think it's because they're not able to decipher it down to any set of main points. So they just put up the whole thing. Who's going to listen to her for an hour on youtube? It's like she was just putting in her minutes to collect her check. Rally on, Jo.

377 said " Wish Galen would post his theory about the red fireball and the coverup" Here's what happened. The fighter planes that went up were armed, and they tried to shoot down 305. But they missed. The coverup was about the failure of the missiles. Cold War and all that. The fireball was a missile.

That all makes sense FarFlung. Do you think Cooper adhered to the Repo Code? A lot o' people don't realize what's really going on. They view life as a bunch o' unconnected incidents 'n things. They don't realize that there's this, like, lattice o' coincidence that lays on top o' everything. Give you an example; show you what I mean: suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

at http://305forum.dbcoopersite.com/user/Discussion.aspx?id=218542 Galen posted (among other things) "The Ingrams used two different "cleaning agents" to clean-up the bills before they took them in to Himmelsbach." We had discussed the likelihood of them washing sand off the bills since no sand was in the 1980 photos on the green table. Given the friable edges visible in those pictures, it made sense that the rounded bills came about from breaking off brittle edges..i.e. they weren't necessarily as rounded when found. But this "cleaning agent" story is another example of leaving thoughts hanging. The bills were broken into at most 12 bundles. We know that from the 1980 FBI table photos. "Cleaning agents" wouldn't work well on bundles of bills still stuck together. I don't know what Galen Cook is claiming. Maybe he's claiming that the black he knows was there originally was removed with secret chemicals, like the black money scam I posted above? So that the money was burned in a fireball but then the black was removed? Or was the black there when the FBI got them? Or did it go thru the fireball no matter what the bills look like? If you pay me $50,000, I can provide chemicals that can be used to clean money that was blackened so it could be smuggled out of Africa without discovery. There is approximately $1M of this blackened money that I am trying to get rid of. The chemicals are a secret formula and only available thru me.

re: georger's comments on burning bills (or Burning Man?) http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=2206&dat=19800219&id=FqwyAAAAIBAJ&sjid=aukFAAAAIBAJ&pg=2667,3999894 Feb 19, 1980 news article. This was done when Brian had to give all his found money to the FBI. Brian Ingram, the 8-year-old boy who uncovered some of D.B. Cooper's hijack loot at Vancouver, Wash., has received a reproduction from a school official as a memento, along with a certificate of prase from his elementary school principal. A new $20 bill was burned around the edges to simulate the money Brian found when he was helping his father build a fire on a Columbia River beach Feb. 10" Maybe the elementary school principal was Cooper, so he knew about the fireball? I guess they decided from pictures in newspapers, that they could simulate the edges by burning. But if you look at the Ingram auction photos, it's obvious there's no burning.

Jo reported "Back many yrs before 2 young men had escaped from Camp Bonnevile around 1945. One of them was NEVER found" So where did Duane hide the body? And why did he murder?

georger said "I wonder if Cook's science team got bills to turn black on the bar?" If they did, then they'd have to show that the money found in 1980 was blackened. There is no photographic evidence I've seen that shows black bills in 1980. The pictures of black bills arrive later. If someone has evidence of black bills in 1980, I'd like to see it. The pictures I saw had some browning. Not all sides of the bundles were visible though. I suspect there's going to be yet another unnamed witness verifying the existence of black bills in 1980. It's interesting that none of the Ingram auction bills are black (confirming what I'm saying) They are faded (some) sure. And we've discussed the non-uniformity of fading front and back, and how that sometimes happen because they use different ink on front and back and the batches vary.

At Sluggo's site, Galen Cook says he talked to Cossey. he throws out some more wild cards says Cossey now says it was an NB-8 (but I thought Ckret confirmed the NB-6 with a 28' canopy..) Ckrett posted June 12, 2008 http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3238357;search_string=28%20cossey;#3238357 The NB6 and the Pioneer were Cossey's chutes, he had them at his house, they weren't at Seattle Skysports. I asked Cossey why he packed a 28 foot canopy in the NB6 and he just shrugged. Kind of like, "it was my chute, I did it because I can." If it was Cossey's rig at his home, it seems unlikely he would misremember. Galen Cook floats the idea that the blackened bills are related to the fireball. We discussed that already. They weren't black at 1980 discovery (as far as we can see from photos), and the fingerprinting story sounds believable. (silver nitrate) He also tries to float the idea of canopy flight from the flight path to Tena Bar. But we analyzed that and it's too far. For all this talk about Galen Cook being a sophisticated DBC investigator, he sure comes off as a newbie? http://305forum.dbcoopersite.com/user/Discussion.aspx?id=218542 That's the problem with all this history of people wanting to think they have secret knowledge. When you air it out, they have nothing but B.S.
-
Yes. Duane was Cooper.
-
yeah, it's weird they have such short lives relative to humans. Makes you realize how amazing it is we get to live so long. Can you imagine if we really did only have only 15 years to live? Good reminder to live in the moment.

see there's the difference between whuffo stories and skydiver stories. A whuffo (me) will tell a story about a flare gun, and it's fired out of the car and lights someone lawn on fire. And that's the story. A skydiver will tell a story about a flare gun, and there's alcohol, and it's inside a house flying around the room, and ends up burning a chair up while someone keeps sitting there and drinking. Which is why a whuffo has to make up as many things as he can. Even the wildest imagination is sometimes insufficient, and computerized random story generation is required to one-up... (edit) And of course, if Amazon gets drawn in, there's going to be something about body parts being blown off, i.e. don't even bother competing.
