This is sooo irrsponsible! (?sp) Per our phone conversation last night, this is NOT right. We have watched students land & get hurt and usually no staff goes out to help them- experienced jumpers do (actually I have never seen a staff member help a student when I have been there for those situations). Shoot, just alot of the time students land & wander around by themselves-their jumpmaster is on another load already. When people ask me about tandems or AFF I always recommend other DZ's in our area for these reasons that I have witnessed. I have still jumped at this DZ but my excuse was- i am experienced & its my gear. Now this happens. No safety procedures in place. What if you were hurt? What if it was me getting hurt like I did 3 yrs ago there? I'd be dead for sure if I had landed off on that skydive & no one came to find me. Shoot, I wouldve been dead real soon! Well I don't think I will jump at Skydive San Diego till I hear at least that they have safety procedures in place (well at least for some when someone lands off!) What sad is, I thought they had a big meeting & came up w/ all these safety rules after I got hurt there. Guess my injury is old news. Also, Always listen to your gut feeling. Always.

also, I begged this skydiver (with the cameraman on our jump obviously present) not to 'lurk us' twice. This was my skydive & this was not part of the dive plan. Please wait 15 seconds. He just laughed. please, please everyone, go with the dive plan! Our sport is dangerous enough, lets not increase it when we don't have to.

Yes, Thanks mouth. But its true, you don't have much of a choice when you wake up. You just want to get better (when you aren't thinking 'why the hell did I live' parts) and have your life back. YOu are given no choice- suck it up & go thru rehab hell. good vibes Eric!!

Yep, he will have so many people here to help him. There will be no shortage of that. I certainly do not like to think of how miserable rehab/injuries where & how awlful each day was & how often I did wish I was dead!! At least now, the 'good' part of my injury is that can help Eric get thru his. I know Jason & Tim probably feel the same way. good vibes Eric, just hang in there, it does get better.

Oh DITTO that!!! and getting suctioned after you are d/c'd from the vent- that is abosolutely horrible(been thru it). It does get better...it does. WE (jason, me, tim) will be able to help out/tell eric what to expect with some of this rehab crap. Its a bitch, but pain is a goood thing, very good (i work for a spinal cord injury unit) you wanna feel it.

yeah what is he trying to do? Out-do my crash? Yes, i am example that prayers WORK. Everyone, just keep praying. I will be giving Eric advice on how to get back on track!! just keep praying. I want to try & give blood but oooh...(I pass out-not during the giving blood part but when I am eating my donut,etc- I go out cold. Usually for an hour. I gotta look for a place closer to san diego if I am going to try...)

Oh Kate! It was awsome!! I got to finally jump with you again! I so can't wait for JFTC!!! Johnny I am going sunday too, but not till near sunset, I have to work on sunday. So then, I will probably see you!! Once again!! I love us! I love skydivers!!

I am thinking this sunday but not till later cause I have to work....what day were you gonna be there? I can have you give a pledge to someone else & they can give it to me too... cool!
