  1. I just asked her if the Lakers were going to defeat the Celts for the championship, and she is totally ignoring me
  2. As somewhat of an expert in the field, let me just say that it all starts with the airway. I can assure you, if I'm on the scene of a jumper that goes down, I will establish an airway and move air. I will also do anything else in my power to keep you alive. I can rinse my mouth out later.
  3. I thought ony tweekers with a collection of bad prison tats which outnumber their remaining teeth refer to their wives as "the old lady."
  4. I flew on United a couple years ago and my flight attendant was a he-she. Seriously, a dude in a dress with a wig and nice french nail manicure. He would have been a homely man, but was an even worse looking woman. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
  5. I think you are making a wise decision. I made a tandem jump last year. The 20 minute climb to jump altitude did disturbing things to me. I am definitely not a wus, but the thought of stepping out the door of the Otter 2 1/2 miles up scared the living shit out of me. It seemed insane and unnatural. Once out the door, the bone marrow sucking fear vanished and was replaced by an incredibly intense but not unpleasant euphoria. My mind did not have to function much and thus I was able to just absorb this alien experience. AFF requires the active participation of your cognitive higher powers to ensure that your jump has a happy ending. I didn't have master jump-man with 3000 jumps strapped to my back, but I did have my own main and reserve! Doing the tandem removed a chunk of the total fear of the unknown and allowed me to focus the whole time on what I was doing. Now I need to get my lazy ass back to Skydive Elsinore to continue and complete my AFF. (I need someone to prod me.) I need to jump again soon. Seeing my blossomed canopy and flying to the LZ was better than sex. Sorry about my long winded post. Dennis
  6. just time, and distance. I live 85 miles from the dropzone and work funny hours.
  7. Hey folks, I'm new to this site and new to this sport. I just made my AFFLevel1 jump 25 May at Lake Elsinore. I will figure out a way to get my next 24 done in the coming months.
  8. Hey Newbie, welcome. I'm also a newbie to this site and this sport. I just had my AFF1 jump at Lake Elsinore on 25 May. I want to get to 25 soon!
