    Now I know why I had to put it in the pending status, Hairy is coming!!! Have faith, SF has always had a Heli, and I dont give up that easy! Plus the Pitts is a better jump I promise!!!! But I will keep working on the Heli, I for one like specialty AC so its not over! Helicopter is looking good!     thanx for the feedback jimmy but i understand that i will have a lot of work to do to make a decent video i was just stating that i am a newby and dont know what to look for and i have heard some things like image stabilizing, and other things that i have no knowledge on....i found this Sony IP5 that fits my budget so i was just inquiring as to whether or not this is considered a 'decent' camera for freeflying....i am solely doing this for fun and not to make money so i do not need the high end camera i just need something that works, so i would like some feedback on people that are more knowledgeable so that i can make a semi educated decision....so that being said any info given is greatly appreciated blue skies!!! bill the condemned convict climbs the highest peaks without fear

    thank you for the feedback --- but does it shoot a stable shot? is there a way to get the media into a computer --- dont really care about getting the skydiving footage on disc, tape or drive .... but i would want to be able to put other things on tape, disc or drive? the condemned convict climbs the highest peaks without fear

    Hey all, was wondering if you could help....i would like to add a camera to my helmet and am looking at the Sony IP5 .... my questions is : is this a good beginner camera for freeflyin? is this a good camera for video'ing? I am not looking for professional quality, just looking for something that works decent...gets the job done....and i am able to look at the jump afterwards....so i guess what i am asking, is it a good skydiving camera? also the other posts i have read about it said soemthing about transfering video, will i be able to hook this cam up to my TV/Laptop and watch the jump on a bigger screen? thanks for any response!! blue skies!!! bill the condemned convict climbs the highest peaks without fear

    I have heard good things about pepperell...but have never been I have been to skydive new england in lebanon maine and that place is hands down amazing... swoop ponds....otter....lots of loads....great people...great after jumping activities and a constant flow of people heading to the wind tunnel so you get cheaper rates because of the size of the time slots bought i do not jump in that area unless i am going to the tiki bar boogie or just a fun weekend in lebanon but what i can say is i do not have a bad thing to say about skydive new england ... oh yea and some of the best DZ food too!!! the condemned convict climbs the highest peaks without fear

    that all depends on how you look at it..... will this be your first jump at raeford? your first time attending a skyfest? your first balloon jump? what about your first jump out of a bi plane? Ive done all that....so sounds like free beer to me..... I like the way you think!!! Ill even buy you a couple, For all that "First Beer" you just collected, Hey Billy: make sure you let me know how big of an Ice chest we will need for ya!!!     ok so i was unaware of the forum war i would start --- but its good because i am finding out a lot... question tho so if i have a vigil in my rig and i head down to zhills for my winter break via airplane do i have to worry about it firing in the cabin? cause that would be an issue because i do not check my rig (way to much money spent on that thing to trust the guys that handle the luggage!) the condemned convict climbs the highest peaks without fear

    Wow!!!! thank you for all your replies!!!! i feel like this is a case of the glass is half full --- no its not its half empty.... so i def thank all of you for your comments....i think mostly what i wanted to know (and had answered) is if i spend less money am i getting less of a product... I like the vigil because i will always get checks on a device like this but alteast with the vigil i dont have to worry about the possibility of the check conflicting with a weekend where i would like to be jumping... and of course the price once again thank you for all the links, comments, opinions, thoughts, etc. they were all very helpful in my safety/financial decision blue skies to all!!!! billy the condemned convict climbs the highest peaks without fear
