If my home network is 100mbit and my wireless is 130mbit (270 between bridges routers), does your statement still hold true for me ? I wouldn't say that hardwire is and will always be faster than wireless, but it will always be more stable. Freakin' nurses!!! I've fallen head over heals for half a dozen or so lately. In the middle of clinical rotations as an EMT student and geez, it's freakin torture!!! I swear the hospital HR departments must have some kind of quota system for keeping the place stocked with smokin' hotties! Oh, and y'all should really be forced to wear some kind of sticker since so many married ones don't wear rings. Oh I know exactly what you mean ... When I was in college, I was an EMT-B ... The er and ambulance staff were filled with the equivalent of "d squared431" :) :) :) ... I don't know how I ever was able to focus. This kind of reminds me of an instructor who lives at my home dz ... His male dog has pissed on two female tandem students over the past few months. He's right ... For those of us who struggled with aff, you just have to want it bad enough to move away from the frustration and stay focused on your goal. Just to let you in on my personal story ... I repeated Cat A about an hour after I failed it on the day of my first jump course. After I screwed up the exit count, I got myself into the fetal position, and fell on my back for about half of the freefall. When I did finally get stable ... I did my practice pulls and then one of the instructors pulled for me. I repeated Cat C three times because of body position problems. My log book said "Need More Arch" for a couple of weekends before I decided to give the tunnel a shot. I came back a day after I did 30 minutes in the tunnel and I finally passed Cat C. The majority of my problems were due to the fact that I didn't know how to relax under those circumstances. I was never a laid back and relaxed type of person to begin with, so that made it even more difficult. Eventually I got there and I feel like the past few months of my life have been the most amazing that I've ever experienced. WTH? Why aren't the attractive nurses thinking naughty thoughts when I'm in the hospital? You are not going to the right hospitals... Am I in love with you or is it just me? :) ... Had to at least make an attempt to get another "fuckery" (Thanks Lucky) thread going again. As an aside, an ex of mine was a head nurse at a Los Angeles trauma center. Let's just say that she was an expert in palliative care. Attention from a nurse is a great thing to get. In honor of your avatat - "A nurse is an angel with a stethoscope." We do have a tender and nurturing touch..... I was right there going through that same frustration a couple of months ago, while others graduated aff without failing a single jump. If nothing else, repeating jumps gives you more experience and that isn't a bad thing. Don't give up! :) The number of jumps it takes you to complete aff has nothing to do with what you may become in the future. Think positive, converse with your instructors on how to correct your mistakes, and get back in the air. It's worth it! Personally it was my preference to stay at one dz during AFF. Having the same instructors throughout AFF calmed my nerves a bit. Even if it wasn't the same instructor for each jump, at least it was someone who I had seen and talked with before. I checked into jumping at a dz closer to home than the one I've been going to and the dzo said it was no problem that I don't have my A license yet. They only required that I was cleared to self supervise and brought along my logbook. My experence there is limited because I've only checked into jumping at one other place. I was really nervous on my first several jumps, but I learned to relax. I never had thoughts of backing out once we were up in the air ... I just kind of convinced myself that the only way back to the ground was going out the door.
