As far as max speed is concerned you can look up people's scores here... http://www.paralog.net/ppc/

Well for me, I have been flying a P2 for some time and recently rented a Tonysuit. I did not like the "feel" of it as much as the "feel" I got from the PF suits I have tried (P2, G3 and V4). The PF suits I have tried all fly differently though P2 and G3 are kind of close but they all have the same "feel". Tony's toys just have a different "feel" and it is for each of us to figure out if it is good or bad for ourselves. I don't want to say Tonysuits suck or anything as I had a blast flying that suit. Lots of power and it was fun to fly but I just prefer the feeling I get from flying the PF suits. I look forward to trying other brands as well. For me it felt like the suit just inflated around me and was flying on its own and all that was left for me to do was aim it back home. PF suits seem to give me a better feel for the flight like I feel the air better or something, I am not sure exactly how to describe it. I will keep trying different Tony suits though as I get more experience.

Hey Matt, I too would advise to at the very least try an R-Bird before putting in any orders. You have a bit of experience in a PF suit and Tony's toys feel really different. Not at all the same experience.

Anyone buy a Chris Kotscha (Freefalljump.com) wing suit in 2013?

At least the price is just right on that suit lol -
Good all round intermediate suit for stocky build (and p2 vs p3?)

P2/3 will be good as long as the stiches don't ware out... That is a fucking long time. Put 200+ on my P2 and I am lovin' every jump. Squirrel Swift from what I hear is another option for you, about the same as a P3 with excellent quality. Tony has a nice range too AND you could rent a T-Bird and bang out a bunch of jumps to see if you like it before going the Tony route. Those are all good options and I am pretty sure all 3 are about the same price give or take 50-60$. SInce you have flown a P2 maybe rent a T-Bird and see the difference to help you make up your mind. I know the P2 I have here will stay in my gear bag as long as it holds together -
Great read although it is available in english, Empire of the Ants. It's a trilogy by the way I just finished The Time Keeper by Mitch Albom and enjoyed it quite a bit... Finally got around to reading Sugar Alpha which is a fun read

If I am reading this right you are saying Lurch got 2.335km with a GR of 2.7 right? Could you explain that to me, wouldn't it be 2.3? If the "window" is 1km then the distance flown is his average GR no? All my runs on GPS come up showing the same numbers for D and GR. Was this just a mistake on your part or am I missing something?

LOL I tried ordering that suit once but the site would not let canadians buy stuff I would jump it for sure though ::closer look makes me think it may be a different one but anyways I really want a suit like that... Just found one on ebay lol

In Paralog, you have the graph that shows the Altitude (Red line) and the Distance (Green line)... Is that not what you want to see? If not could you specify what you mean by "vs"

Perfect for having a wingsuit in your closet all winter

At some point you just gotta commit cause there will always be something new on the horizon

What about "Proximity Flight" on PS3?

The "feel like you are there" thing is what gets people in bad situations. When you see someone with 50 jumps on a Phantom 3 board the plane with an X3, no doubt he felt confident on the P3. Add BASE to the mix and trouble comes at you fast. Even though I "feel like I am there", there is always a video out there that makes me realize I suck. We are not meant to fly so the journey is long and hard... Good thing it's so much fun.

If you mean the paralog website, you can choose to look at tracks by suit (on the left) so the records give you an idea of what you can do based on the suit you are flying... That is not a tool we use to learn, we look to more experienced pilots to learn. It is only a tool we can use to compare each other and also to help us set goals. In my case flying the P2 I looked at the website and saw that the best times were around 60 sec. but knowing the body types of those guys I knew I could never beat them but I got coaching and was able to get to 50 sec. I can't do better than that in a P2, I have tried and tried and turns out that is the max I can get out of my suit unless I lose 20 lbs.

We have this... http://www.paralog.net/ppc/ ::This site allows us to share our "performance records" but also you can see the flight on google earth and take a look at the data chart for the flights of people all over the world

You could do what I did, look for someone in your area winning these competitions and go spend a weekend getting coaching with them.
-
It really isn't, I have about 200 jumps on mine and I love it... It will be in my gear bag till turns to shreds ::then I'll order another

Is it at all possible to buy a new suit without this whole zipper thing for the handles? Say I want to purchase an S-Bird, can I get it the way they used to be or no?

In QC, I was just wondering how Canadians were not aware of Canadian record attempts. I saw no posts on FB, DZ.com or CanPara magazine... Anyway congrats to all involved
-
Was this event advertised anywhere?
-
It is in Lévis, Quebec, Canada... DZ is Atmosphair

I just love watching that opening lol Welcome to the flock buddy, seeing how much you improved on that second jump was really cool man see you next weekend
-
I have also requested the time off work AND booked a trailer for the week so yeah... I'm in!
-
Maybe they didn't luke all the great things the 600 people had to say about them lol

So I got to Flock'n Dock a little early and in the days leading up to the event someone was using this book as a guide for our formations. I thought it was pretty cool! Just upgraded to my first smart phone and thought I should check it out and started reading it today... Looks good, I really wanted to say that I appreciate the emphasis on the debriefing techniques at the beginning of the book, I have witnessed a few awkward debriefs in the past and I think it is a good thing to have that be part of the book... Good job to everyone involved, I am really enjoying it and think it will be a great tool out on the field
