0.o I'm in July 17, 2016 -
I see no reason not to connect the lowers to your passenger after you unconnect them from your lowers, they are already in your hands, leaving loose chunks of metal swinging around isn't a great idea.

You'll be fine as long as you are wearing at least three gopros (head, chest, foot) and have outside video filming your landings. -
Your mistake was not packing your own gear.

I have one, it's not even in my rig currently (long story) and even when it is in my rig it isn't on much, depends on what I'm doing and who I'm doing it with. Oh and we don't need more regulation telling us what we should and shouldn't do, that's one of the major problems in our country is everyone thinks they have business in everyone else's life instead of dealing with their own shit and leaving other people alone. Want to jump with an AAD? Good, use one. Don't want to? Good, don't use one. But stay out of other people's decisions that don't effects your life.

8 minute video to show a difference in bagging technique but this is how I pack so +3 Alternatively pay a packer for the first 100 jumps

Pay a packer for the first 100 jumps. Best money ever spent.

Mine was locking up completely and some other funky stuff, I emailed them and they said to push the center button and the tiny reset button at the same time with the battery out and hold it for a bit, it worked for me, I've had to do it on several occasions but it gets it back up and running again.

Ya except the risk in this case is potental complete vision loss. Ten days after I got PRK I got slapped in the face and the persons finger caught my eye. My vision went completely black, followed by bright white followed by a very short period of very of distorted vision before it came back in focus (as much as it was going to go in focus at that time). I 100% believe that if I would of just had LASIK I would of had a serious problem at that point. You're right, it's your decision, and you'll probably be ok like the millions of other people, but all it takes is a stray hand (maybe a child) or an airbag or a stray branch you didn't see while hiking and you have the potential for complete vision loss in an eye. Shit happens, is it worth the risk? I personally don't think so and went with PRK.

I've taken 280 several times, a couple of them out of a narrow body 182, it sucks every time no matter what airplane. (I'm 6'3 155lbs for reference.) You're going to have a easier time finding someone to take you on a tandem than do your AFF in my opinion. I'd work on shedding the weight.

PRK done 1.5 years ago, best 3k ever spent. Very slightly more dry eyes than before but I've always had dry eyes. I personally went with PRK after poking around the internet and reading the horror stories associated with a dislocated flap from LASIK As far as jumping, I jumped off an antenna three weeks after and I swear my night vision was better on that jump than the previous ones. I was working full time doing tandems by week four. My prescription was -4 and -4.5 (contact prescription) with a large astigmatism. I'm now 20/25 in my right eye and 20/20 in my left.

I'd like to append Skydive Palatka. It's not a big DZ like Deland, but it is an extremely friendly and great DZ to be at. Doesn't matter who you are there is always someone willing to jump with you despite your experience level. Very welcoming group of jumpers and staff. I personally have not been to Deland (yet), but I heard there is a lot of little cliques there. Just last weekend we had a girl come from Deland because she said no one there will jump with her, and the instructors/coaches won't pay attention to her if she's not paying them to jump. She had some where around 70 jumps, and she got on the first load with some jumpers to do RW and made RW loads all day with those people. Was she ugly? -

The 5 basic barbell exercises: Squats, Deadlifts, Bench Press, Barbell Rows and Standing Overhead Press Google "Bill Starr 5x5 routine" for a basic/intermediate workout plan Yoga for flexibility and strength And cardio I hate cardio so I don't do that but I do the rest. -
If you're using vertical separation to create canopy separation then you are part of the problem. Horizontal separation is what you should be aiming for. And you get more of it if you track longer. You could track longer from the top (ie. start higher) rather than adding it onto the bottom end where you have less altitude to deal with bad spots, hard pulls, mals etc. as well as leaving yourself fewer options for slotting into the pattern. The lower you start your canopy flight the fewer options you have - and that goes for main or reserve. This pulling as low as you can get away with thing is just a symptom of the same disease that is killing people under good canopies; a dislike/disrespect for canopy flight. People dirt dive their freefall, but very few off student status do so for their canopy flight. Pulling at 2,000, in the saddle by 1,200-1,500 is eating into altitude that you might need to save your life. Respect for canopy flight? You still jumping a small loaded elliptical canopy above your skill level? I seem to remember quite a few threads and posts on the subject. Just because you want to pull higher don't force the decision on everyone. Some actually need the extra time for separation on big ways. I like the bottom end of a skydive as much as the top end. If we are on a long spot I'll pull high to make it back, if we are dead nuts over the DZ I'll suck it low. You like to swoop, I like the bottom end. We all poke the bear in our own way.

2k is plenty

I routinely pull between 2000 and 2500 feet as the spot allows, mainly to get out of the way of as much canopy traffic as possible (and partly because ground rush is fun) and I will continue to do so. This "rule" is as much voluntary as any other, there are no altitude cops out there.

This. Wearing clothing while sleeping sucks, it just binds up.

One day wearing large aviator sunglasses indoors will be common place and not for the reasons of being a douche bag. -
Off heading openings and line twist on tandems

Make sure the risers are even. Don't over roll the tail. It could also be your bagging technique. Make sure the bulk is evenly distributed in the bag especially in the corners, don't "center" pack. I over cocooned for a long time trying to maintain control of the canopy, once I fixed that and distributed the canopy to the corners and filled the bag appropriately my pack jobs opened much more consistently. Hope that helps. -
Meh, I'm 6'3 and my plane mate is 6'1 and we are in a narrow body straight tail 182. I've never had a problem with it.
