In 1000+ skydives I've only felt the slightest droppy feeling a couple times and it was on hard diving exits out of a cessna182 with a pilot that made a game out of how slow he can fly the plane on jump run, I've never felt it with a stable exit or out of any other plane.

I'm 30 and have several, everything can be covered up with a short sleeved shirt and slacks.

Try a Nitron. I've had soft stress free openings, it doesn't want to dive or spin up even with linetwists from wingsuiting. I've gotten great glide with some rear riser input on long spots hanging with tandems to get back. Short recovery arc, snappy and fun to fly in the turns, lighter front riser pressure but wants to come out of the dive immediately. Definitely a fun canopy imo. http://www.precision.aero/nitron.htm

Tandems have the right of way where I jump currently. You stay out of their way and land out if needed. Now granted that's a little simplistic when you have a pattern stacked up but sport jumpers have more maneuverable canopys and aren't trying to land in front of their camera person.

Getting hardwood floors and not allowing the dogs in carpeted rooms is the easiest way to deal with it.

On the to do list. Although the tandem seems just eh. Now with a licenced skydiving chick doing a linked exit would be the way to go...

what do owners think of their JFX
fanya replied to daleskydive's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Another sanji? That was quick. You have any videos to prove your skygodness? Also keep posting, I got 3k miles to Cali still and need some reading material, although it does get old reading variations of the same crap over and over. Good luck, hope you beat the odds. -

When all AAD's are banned, what will you do?
fanya replied to JohnRich's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Bet you'll be pissed at your CYPRES if you lose altitude awareness and it saves you anyway. I have a Vigil, which is besides the point. And if that happens it's probably time to quit skydiving because if you can't follow rule #1 ... -

I only have an aad incase I become knocked out or incapacitated. I spent my first 400 witbout one and wouldnt hesitate to jump without one again. I still don't turn it in for hop n pops and forget to turn it on here and there. I bought one cause as someone else has said, I'd be pretty pissed at myself if I went in without one and had 1400$ in the bank. -
No windows or gates where he is going. Brilliant marketing genius he was.

Ah yes modern interpretive dance... I've been to quite a few when I lived in mpls, I quit going cause I never fully understood. That video was actually one of the better ones I've seen...
-
I'm 30 currently so things may change but at this point the only reason I would quit jumping is when I cant physically put on a rig and board a plane or the day I can't reach my pilotchute
-
I have 100+ hop n pops from 2k. You think stuffs small at 3.5k... You don't lose much altitude in the first 5 seconds on the hill.

Oh who do I trust more? The common thief of the common banker.
fanya replied to shah269's topic in Speakers Corner
dude for lack of a better word go fuck yourself. I'm done with this. Thanks for all the personal attacks. Oh look another Shah thread. People are bashing on because you seem unable to understand a couple key things... You got married You bought a house You took out a loan To make matters worse YOU took out a zero money down loan You got divorced, as part of that divorce you had to refinance. YOU are up to your neck.in shit because of a very long string of poor decisions. But it's the bankers fault not yours, makes compete sense. -
Best pairs of shoes I've owned. I have had 2 pair and both of them I wore the soles off before the shoes stitching came apart. They were well worn abused but they were rock solid shoes. Oh and forgot to say were the most comfortable shoes I've owned. One day I'm going to afford a pair again one day in a design I like

It seems that Mr. Booth changed his mind. This is from UPT site :"As of September 2010, all Sigma II 370 and 340 tandem canopies will come standard with Vectran linesets Blue skies Both my TIs say the 340 with the Vectran lines open quicker and harder than with the ones with Dacron. Enough so that they have asked a couple times to try to pack it to slow the opening down. They also avoid the vectran lined ones with heavy people. Although it's still not stopping him from relining with vectran in the future.

The details of your post are overwhelming. Everyone screws up, deal with it and move on, friends will either forgive you or not, out of your hands now.

money in the bank (not much), debt free from 3 years+, paying credit cards off at the end of the month to rack up free rewards > debt i can lose/quit my job at a whim and not have to worry for at least 3 months (not long enough but working on it) debt sucks, working cause you want to is a lot more fun than working cause you have to. knowing you can quit at any time if you choose is the greatest freedom to have.

I bet she's single, or her boyfriend is miserable. You sound like a nightmare to deal with in real life based on your posts here. Lemme guess, nothing is ever your fault?
-
Ya know, I rarely post here but fuck. Every time I see a whiny bitch thread you magically seem to be the poster. Coincidence? I don't know. Anyway, you can either work on yourself, try to find some truths and move on or you can wallow in your woe is me self pity. The reality of life is it sucks sometimes. You can either man up learn some lessons, or continue in the rut you are in. My advice to you, which you won't take anyway is enjoy your time with yourself. Learn how to trust and love yourself and then eventually you can trust and love other people again. There can be no joy without pain, there can be no mountains without valleys, there can be no highs without lows. If you haven't read "The Prophet" (google that shit the entire book is available for free online) you should. And if you have read it, read it again and find some new truths in it. Oh and one truth I have found is there is no meaning to life but to live life. That truth may change for me eventually but for now that is where it stands. Flame away.
