  1. Hmmmm take one of my spare servos and stuff it in teddy. make attachment points for the steering lines and you got a swoopable teddy. Of course I'm much to lazy to actually do this but it's a thought
  2. I know this may sound crazy but why don't you try skydivingmovies.com.
  3. Was thinking about how I could be an instructor right now.......BUT NOOOO!!!!! I screwed up on a coach jump just one little detail and now I have to live vicariously thru you mutts. I don't know how people can live thru a winter of not jumping every year.
  4. ROTFLMAO That being the case. Please explain how are there any kittens or cats left on this earth
  5. Thats what i usually tell the ladies.....oh you mean chocolate as in candy.......nevermind
  6. ewwwww.....you just ruined my fantasy and it was going so well too. I have a better idea tell your woman to bring her thong and take your place yeaaa that works for me.......fantasy restored. Sweet
  7. Are Kimmy and Shannon gonna be playing naked oily twister if so I'm in, if it's just a bunch of knuckle dragging hairy backed men like you no thanks. 8. What helped me was instead of trying to reach in front of me for the dock. I would get level with my target and turn into it, if your arms are going straight from the shoulders and bent 45 degrees at the elbow, your hand should pretty much run right into the target. Once you get the hang of that then move on to trying to take the dock in front of you. Also I find the dock in front of you is easier if you put the target a touch above head level.
  9. Thats not quite right.....substitute not enough for no in the first part, but thats not quite right either. How about this Wanna read the whole mess go here http://www.markdmccabe.com/stall.htm
  10. I'm guessing the asumption your making is that a rigid wing won't stall. I then pose the question how does an airplane or glider stall?
  11. So what your saying is that you've been thinking I'm gonna have a premature for the past 2 years.....thanks buddy. That shark bite may be affecting your brain
  12. A call to Sunrise wouldn't hurt(Heather I miss you,....your the bomb). I've got a W-13 sized for a 170 had a Cobalt 150 in it now have a Cobalt 135. One trick I've learned is to pack the canopy as big as possible and still get it in the bag(also make sure you shorten your closing loop if needed)
  13. Good luck with that. The interface for pro is different then 6.x and IMHO much better once you get used to it.

    Best beer

Sierra Nevada Pale Bock....only brewed this time of year and really hard to get outside CA
  15. The tech he uses in his stories has gotten closer to real life over time yet the stories still have the same impact and feel. It's one of the things I love about him. Did you read the virtual light series?
  16. I gotta agree with you although I did find Kiln people really entertaining. Heres a little more uplift (a tease actually) it picks up with the crew of Streaker that was left on Kithrup http://www.davidbrin.com/temptation1.html
  17. I read Creatures of Light and the Amber series right after I read Lord of Light. I liked both a lot but I just didn't like them as much. something about those charechters I really liked. I can't define it either. Legacy of Herot.....I'm guessing thats the title of the Niven book you couldn't think of earlier. Once it gets rollin it's a page turner
  18. I can't believe I forgot that one great book. I also submit Roger Zelazny(sp) Lord of Light
  19. ....Told ya. Did you read the rest of his stuff Count Zero, and Mona Lisa Overdrive finish the "Sprawl" series. Also Burning Chrome which has some kickin short stories including Johnny Mnomnic(sp), which kicks major ass and introduces the deadly Molly, and in no way should it be confused with that crappy movie of the same name. Then theres Virtual Light, Idorou, and All Tommorows Parties. I thought virtual Light was a little slow but the other 2 kick ass No one mentioned the Uplift series by David Brin one of my all time favs. David Drakes Hammers Slammers series for that military type scifi. For that old shcool feel you gotta give it up for E.R.B. John Carter Warlord of Mars series (I hope they're still gonna make the movie after all the dust settles)
  20. Thats sick I love it!!!!!!! How long did you practice on your back or did you just do it?
  21. Alright...you bought it your gonna jump it so be please be careful. I would suggest getting Canopy Control 150 from Skydive U(it's pretty much a begginers self paced canopy control course). I haven't obtained a copy of Brian Germains new book but I bet it's very informative also. Brains Voodew I'm in the same boat as you. I went from a Spectre 170 to a Cobalt 150@1.47(almost went to a 135), but we jump year round and our average of 200 or so jumps a year make our cases a little different then Bobsleds. Also Brains I noticed you didn't mention your little scare when you first got the 135(ya really shouldn't kick a guy there during a skydive)
  22. For our pledge class prank we got some official yellow tape, plywood, stencils and spray paint. We then put the plywood on all doors and windows and spray painted condemned on all the plywood then surrounded the property in yellow tape and put up a fake letter from the city condmning the property. A month later people on campus were still asking about it
  23. That is HOT!!!!!! Video?
