  1. *sigh* Am I gonna get another call asking for an appraisal of your, uh, er, ah, skills? OH, wait. That says KICK ass interview. Oops! Thought it said something else ... 2. Tell Turtlespeed about my black bean, chorizo and 7 pepper chili dip with Frito's Scoops. I think I could actually live on that. Wait -- didn't I live on that last time I made it? Breakfast, lunch and dinner 2 or 3 days straight, if I'm not mistaken ... Glad someone else can take the heat ... 3. Good. I'll invite you to SDC the next time I make chili for the whole DZ. Just don't believe the rumors about me trying to kill anyone with it. 4. I don't get donuts at all. Would you and Val go for a potato chip and hot sauce buddy? Wendy "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used u
  5. Oh yeah -- another thing -- you'll notice this is in Elkhart now, not Goshen. That's good news for you out-of-state travelers, as well as for those that would stay with me. It's *right* on I-80 AND closer to my house. If you chose the casa da Wendybird, and you wish to be one of those raging drunks along with Ward, I'm the designated driver that night. My Montana seats 8. By the way, a Montana is a SCALED-DOWN VERSION OF A FULL-SIZED VAN, so don't dare call it anything else. I'm a little touchy about that. And to my "little" brother, Eric Stone, that's reading this because I'm *forcing* him to, I challenge you and all your co-workers and friends from over there to come to this fundraiser if you're not too busy with your high-school girlies that night. Even if you're not jumpers (yet) these folks from Goshen are your neighbors. Come help them out! It's Eric's belief that his dream girl is half his age -- and since she'll be legal in a short year and a half he's busy searching for her as we speak That is all. As always, spread the love, spread the word, and if you see my brother near a high school, take up a collection for bail. 6. And Wendy, we have met, wether you'll remember or not is another thing but we have. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ hmmmm -- I'm assuming it must have been at SDC then? Sure hope it wasn't Michigan Avenue here in South Bend ... I'm better at faces than names. Looking forward to the 6th, and I hope to see more of you there that I've met but swear I haven't ... And even more of you that I actually haven't! Mary -- you sent plenty! I'll be sure not to model the pants at the auction so they bring the most $$$. And Ward, I had this friend that's no longer with us -- used to say "Don't thank me, pass it on." Been using that one a bit lately. Thanks to all that have replied and/or donated, and to those that plan to donate -- as well as to those that will attend the fundraiser. YOU'RE the ones that rock here. 7. I will NOT make "fetch" jokes here. I will NOT make "fetch" jokes here. I will NOT make "fetch" jokes here. I will NOT make "fetch" jokes here. I will NOT make "fetch" jokes here. 8. How much you think I'll fetch? To go away? Wendy "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used u
  9. You rock, that's wonderful, and I still want the 100 cents. If anyone wants to know where to send things like this (and other stuff!) I'll refer you again to www.indianaskydivingacademy.com Thanks Chris! 10. Ok then....since it's not free tonight. I'll donate 100 cents! Man. You pilots are cheap. Spending all your money on the little in-flight wine bottles again? Wendy "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used u
  11. I'll open the bid at 50 cents....... Don't worry Wendy...I'm sure people will bid more than that.............. hopefully. DUUUUUUUUUUUDE! Keep your 50 cents! Tonight WAS gonna be your lucky night -- and for FREE!!! By the way -- there are folks donating their personal rigs for use until Bo and Paula can get new or permanently donated rigs. Now THERE'S another thought! Wendy "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used u
  12. Just make sure you keep "my room" open for me You KIDDIN' me? That's the only way to keep YOUR dogs away from MY dog (aka the puppy terrorist) AND the kitty litter. The room, new flannels and all, is all yours. The other 4 beds + 3 futons are open to first dibbers. As for my king-size bed, well ... there better be some reeeeeal sweet talkin' if anyone wants to share that ... All for the fundraiser, of course ..... (again, I have GOT to stop typing out loud) Wendy "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used u
  13. Welllllll ..... OK. He also eats newspaper, the kids school awards off the fridge, college admisison forms, shoes (he prefers leather clogs with wooden soles, thank you), corners of the cabinets, parts of the garage door, and the wooden parts of puppy/baby gates. I have a shock collar charging right now. Should I start on "low" or go straight to "clear!"? I may try the food thing. Dunno what else to do -- though it has been at least 9 days since I switched formulas (same brand, different chunks). Curious that it's only mornings though ... 14. Firstly, Rainbo, BE NICE! She doesn't know any better yet! I do admire your tenacity, but don't forget that I bite ... Val and everyone else -- I *just* got off the phone with Paula. They were actually considering putting the plane up for sale and throwing in the towel until they started getting responses from the skydivers they knew, and some of you out there that they've never even met! Those of you that have responded to their need -- you absolutely rock! Thank you so much on behalf of Bo and Paula. They are absolutely and positively moved by your efforts. By the way, Ward? We haven't actually met, but I have to give you a little shit here. You mentioned to me in an email a little while ago that you wanted to keep this fundraiser a surprise to them. Dude, I gotta tell you, taking them off their own DZ mailing list was NOT the way to go! To anyone considering going to the fundraiser -- I live about 45 minutes from Goshen and have lots of extra beds and other crash space. I have also been told that it'll likely be close to a hotel -- hopefully within crawling distance. Again, details will be passed along when I get them, or you can get them yourself by subscribing to the ex-Bo and Paula list btw -- to Mary in Colorado (screenname???) -- I got the things you sent along with Renee. Thank you so much -- I already told Paula about them and she was touched that someone she doesn't even know would send things along like that. Keep spreading the love and the word, Wendy "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used u
  15. Question for all you dog owners out there ... My recently house-trained 14 week-old Chocolate Lab (that'd be Leroy Brown) has had, shall we say (because it *is* still breakfast time) a "runny stomach" for the last 2 mornings in a row -- but *only* in the mornings. I can think of a few possible causes, but none of them really seem spot-on. He acts otherwise completely fine ... 1) I changed from one type of Puppy Chow to another just over a week ago. Can't believe it'd upset him now, and only in the mornings. 2) Maybe he's taken to eating the ice-eating salt on the driveway in the mornings after his breakfast? It's been here as long as he has -- not sure that'd be the case, and again, only in the mornings. Can't think of much else. Maybe he just likes morning baths? He is a Lab, after all ... 16. Organized fundraiser will be March 6th in Goshen, IN (that's northern Indiana). Details forthcoming and will be posted here immediately when available. If you want them sooner than immediately you could always sign up for the mailing list at www.indianaskydivingacademy.com. 17. Walls, clothing, and the word "supercalifragilisticexpealidocious". Were Mary and Bert on acid? Umbrellas for parachutes? Wendy "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used u
  18. I drank enough caffeine to keep me awake long enough to hang draperies. I also found out a few things: tape measures and pencils really do work, predrilling holes is preferable to stripping screws, and pipe cutters do *not* work on 1 and 1/4 inch wooden curtain rods. God. I'm such a romantic. Wendy "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used u
  19. I left my jugs at the House of Blues. That's why I can't remember how many gallons they held. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. Wendy "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used u
  20. Thanks, CoCheese. If you wanted to donate something from your shopping trip last night as well, I'm sure I wouldn't hear many complaints. Moaning, maybe. Complaints, probably not. I did *not* just type that out loud. Yes I did. And thanks. You're right. A little from everyone would add up to a business being able to stay in existence, and keep skydivers, current and future, in the air. 21. Bump Bump Bump I must need a new suspension system. For those that haven't seen this thread and/or don't know anything about it, Indiana Skydiving Academy needs your help to stay alive after a fire took everything they had 2 weeks ago. Got a helmet you don't use anymore? A jumpsuit that's perfect for a student? A 2-pin Cypres that doesn't go in your new 1-pin Cypres container? A rig you won in a raffle? Why not think about donating it to make sure future skydivers stand a chance of finding the sport? Spread the love and spread the word. 22. eeneR, wasn't that a gallon jug?And how much did I have before that? How much did I win on that bet? Damn. I'm cheap. Wendy "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used u
