thanks. I tried all that. It doesn't recognize the camera at all. I don't want to use Vista, but that's what I have on my laptop.

I cannnot get Vista to recognize my pc 115 over firewire. Is anyone have any suggestions? I can use USB to download off the memory stick, but I can capture the video of the mindv to my computer. I have talked with Sony, HP, and others, and still can't figure this one out. I hooked this camera and firewire to XP and it works just fine. It seems to be something in Vista. Does anyone know a way around this? THanks.
