I almost forgot to mention that I owe beer for "almost getting killed" in a "almost canopy colision" - but I'll probably start a thread on "Safety and Training" for this one. (A f***ing idiot with 1500 jumps was doing his recurrency jump ... and cut me off on final ... twice - I got it on video, so it will make for a good discussion.) O

    "Nookie" ... "bookie" - what the hell are we talking about? I may not recall the history on the "weekend numbers" correcty, but I think we're reporting on: humps : jumps : beer owed And, everyone stopped reporting on "humps" a long time ago ... I'm just following the crowd on this one. O

    :10:2 Finally double digit numbers to report; 7 freefly jumps and 3 hop and pop. Beer owed for breaking my personal record of jumps in one day (previous was 5, I did 7 on Saturday). Beer owed for 4 hours of freefall time reached on the last jump on Sunday. 300th is coming!!! O

    :4:0 I took a vacation day on Friday to get a boat load of jumps in over an extended weekend - it didn't happen. Wind, wind, wind - ugh, at this pace, it will take me the rest of the year to get to my 300th . O

    The poor grammar in a printed ad (targeted at you, the skydiver) should offend everybody … it says “you’re too stupid to notice … or care” … Well, it seems Ward got it right … he’s a genius after all ... O

    “No one really buys a rig because of the advertising they put in the magazine” … so, why bother running an ad then? Isn’t the whole purpose of advertising campaigns to raise awareness with the consumer? As for your disappointment with the implied realization that today’s skydivers aren’t a good sport when it comes to things dirty (i.e. sexual), it seems you haven’t “heard” anything that was said in those “complaints” – it’s not the sexual innuendo that has most of us offended … there is no clever disguise in that message … it’s flat out cheesy . Lastly, using the “rushed/busy” excuse for the grammar error on a one sentence message is … how did you put it? … “rather ridiculous”

    :4:0 Not enough sleep on Friday night made for a groggy Saturday ... and only 1 jump; with clouds on and off, 3 jumps on Sunday - one 3-way belly, one 2-way freefly and one hop 'n pop (to fly my canopy with the new 22 inch risers); 4 inches seemed to have made a huge difference (canopy much more responsive ... and a hell of a lot more flare). Taking a couple of Fridays off this month ... trying to get to my 300th before or at the Pep boogie (end of August). O

    I am just not looking to collect "friends" ... even if we met, but never say "hi" or interact in any way, it tells me you don't care to be my friend ... and I don't see a point. Though, I'm starting to see the flaw in this (my) thinking - I often have friends tell me: "I see you did this and that" ... "Glad to see your dog is getting better" ... "How was Z-hills?". Just like here ... there are a lot of "lurkers" on Facebook ... O
