Oh … and submitting a random picture I found on the internet so to contribute to the collective fun on this thread, does not make me wild (if that’s the other thing you implied). (I never said that picture was me … you guys just assumed!!!) O

One seems uptight and easily offended and the other one... not so much. . Let me clear that “curiosity” (i.e. criticism) up for you … Offended because a manufacturer is using cheesy sexual innuendo as a marketing practice, to target men while completely leaving out the female consumer, does NOT make me uptight. (Keep in mind that I own a Mirage and was about to order another.) O

I'm not sure I get your point ... if there is one ...

Come on guys ... let this thread die ... please . O

I already have a rig (Mirage G4, mind you) - the harness is a bit too big for me and I'm not comfortable flying head down in it. I can wait 36 weeks - I'm in no hurry

You said it best ... O

That just ruined it for me. I think there's something wrong with me. Something terribly terribly wrong! Nothing “wrong” with you … something wrong with the Mirage executives, once for being so shortsighted as to publish an ad leaving out a small, but not necessarily insignificant percentage of the skydiving population (i.e. potential customers) and once more for using spell-check rather than a proofreading service before sending material to the magazine ... O

Agreed. +1

I am about to buy a new container (a complete system actually) and was debating between Mirage (I already own a G4) and Javelin. Since Mirage's add clearly targets men, I guess my decision is made: Javelin ...

My little one is a rescue too ... she was almost starved to death, she has lived in pain for a few years and had severe ear infection that took almost one year to clear. The only thing I have to say about that - PEOPLE SUCK!!! Yes, spoil the little thing ... he will spoil you back with his unconditional love. My little one is my kid too ... and I really feel like it's mother

I'm looking to finally order my custom container ... and that's my leading option right now. (I already own a Mirage G4 ... the harness is too big for me and with a wide yoke, I'm not comfortable flying head down). O Nice. I'm going to be in Florida third week of August for about 8 days, and hoping to narrow down my options by then and purchase a container through one of the dealers at Deland, Sebastian or Zhills. You can always buy my current container ... it's designed for a guy (wider shoulders). It has served me well, but I need something that has a smaller harness and fits me better. After missing out on some jumps, I do want to have two rigs ... if I sale this one, I'll have to buy two containers (instead of one). Btw, my container does take a 210. O

Scared the daylights out of me ... once it stalled (and I started feeling like I'm falling out of the sky, backwards) I did what Ian said most people do - let the toggles back up really fast. Needless to say, that made the recovery really violent. Umm ... I won't be doing that again any time soon ... not on purpose ... O

I guess a broken ankle, missing the entire season and missing out on my entire summer would be considered a "good injury" ... yep, "ground shy" would be an accurate description of my state of mind, but I'm starting to get annoyed with myself. I have my technique right and I'm tired of hearing (and saying to myself): "I didn't have to do that" (bum tapping) ... In terms of advice on how to get better, Ian wrote in my log book: TRUST YOURSELF

Oh ... I might owe beer for the first time stalling my canopy (toggle). Ian said that if he does't see us fully stalling the canopy, he will make us repeat the jump ... so, I went ahead and scared the poop out of myself ... O

:7:0 My numbers look similar to yours John, though we haven't compared notes on the " " ... Finally a weekend where I didn't get "weathered out", though I did push my limits in terms of wind ... I took the "Flight 1" course with Ian Drennan (he is awesome

The wind is your friend. Well it is if you're doing a cross country from 10 miles out. all but one on the load made it back last Saturday. Not if it's gusting to 25 - 30mph ... (I already landed in some people's back yard twice this season ... too close to an electified cow fence on one of those occasions ) O

CUT AWAY! NOW!!! +1 That in itself is a clear indication that this is not "quite right" ... O
