I've got a Sabre2 170 loaded at .8:1 - hehehe - all I'll say is you should be able to limp away from most landings...hehe (or at least, I've been able to limp away from them all). I love my Sabre2, but am still getting use to the landing - BUT I ONLY HAVE 22 JUMPS, so read this only for "entertainment" purposes. Life is for the LIVING!!!!!

Okay, at first I only discussed this with "closer" skydiving friends, and they are the best support system ever! You guys know who you are - YOU ROCK!!! Now it's time to tell the rest of my skydiving family. The big decision....I'm gonna cut-away. I have lived a lie for faaar too long. I stayed in this relationship for fear of hurting someone I care deeply for, but am not in love with. I have been with him for 10 years - since I was 15, and we've been married for almost 7 years!! This will be the scariest thing I've ever done, but I know I don't want to settle for second best anymore. I'm gonna sell all my wordly possession (except my rig off-course) and move to the one place that feels like home - Namibia! No, I don't have a visa or a job or anything, but I'm gonna throw all caution to the wind and follow my heart. I'm young with nothing holding me back except my own fears and insecurities. This will not be easy - I will f*ck-up somebody else's life pretty good, but for once I wanna be true to myself. I wanna have the courage to make me happy, instead of someone else. I wanna forget about this materialistic rat-life I've been living for the past few years. I wanna EXPERIENCE life - I wanna be me without pretending. The only thing that scare me about this is his tears, his pain. I'm not sure if I should go ahead with it in the next few weeks, or wait 3 months to save some more money for my jobless months ahead? I don't know how to tell him? I don't know how I'll face him for 30 days living in the same house as him (visa situation)? I don't know so many things. But I do know I need to do this for ME. I'm scared if I wait any longer, the ground will rush at me quicker than expected and.... Life is for the LIVING!!!!!

Howdy all!! I'm back!! I had the time of my life! And I've made a very serious decision that will change my life forever, but I'll share that later! I had so many firsts that I still owe beer!!! My new rig ROCKS and I have the bruises to prove it! Damn, it comes in fast! Also did my first two-way and even kissed in freefall! Me and Skystorm couldn't jump "together", but we shared the plane...she ROCKS!!! We had so much fun together...and she even came to look for me when I was "unable" to look out for myself...hehehe Damn, did we party!! I can't wait to go back there again. Life is for the LIVING!!!!!

After staring, patting, holding, stroking....etc. my beloved new rig, I'm finally heading out to SA (and then Namibia) to jump it!! Just two more days and I'm out of here!! I'll try any idea for my Alti3...is it just me or is the Alti3 uncomfy if you have small and bony hands? I wrote to Kathy at Alti2, and she was extremely helpful and sent me a wristmount (like a watch strap) free of charge when I complained about the original strap with the ring being uncomfy. But I have small wrists and it wasn't comfy either! I tried playing around with different ways to mount it, but no matter what I tried, it keeps hurting me. I'm thinking of buying that "glove-mount". Any other suggestions are welcome!!! Life is for the LIVING!!!!!

I phoned the airlines I'm travelling with like a million times to ask about their gear policy (just to make sure they were all right) and they don't allow it as carry-on AT ALL!! They will allow 10 kg extra in check-in baggage, but that's it! And as I'm travelling from the Middle East, customs are a headache (and you try to explain to them what a rig is - they hardly speak English!!!) I guess I could take the chance and "smuggle" it through customs and play dumb (wouldn't be too difficult), but what if they confiscate my rig??? But at the same time I am sooooooooo worried to check it in!!!! Dammit!!!! Life is for the LIVING!!!!!
