    Czech... not the same. It's Walter M601... nowdays produced as GE Aviation Czech H80 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_M601 Walter Aircraft Engines was founded in 1911, a little bit sooner then P&W :)

    If you can get Sabre150 inside, Pulse170 will fit as well. It has amazingly low packing volume.

    I dont know... but I see you have some better information then all of us - would you be so kind and share them? Or is it just a bad feeling? Yes, I do think it will be different in some aspects. But even if not, it's quite important for many of us to have independent report to judge the accident. Do you expect manufacture do blame it's own product? What about giving a brake? I'm going to wait for final report regardless SE press release. Some other will do the same, some are already decided and don't need it. That's life.

    Well, actually we have not... there is still just SE press release, not final report from CZ legal authority. It's IMHO just one side of the coin so far...

    Well, I have been advised by my instructor @50 jumps not to go for Sabre2, but rather new PD Pulse or Elektra. Mostly for security reasons, Sabre is imho not very forgiving canopy for fresh AFF graduate :) To be exact, in my case it was change from Navigator 200 (1.2) to Pulse 170 (1.4). What I really like about Pulse is low pack volume. If you use it with Optimum Reserve, you'll get very nice compact rig even with 170/190 main
