BRADLEY MANNING: POSTER BOY FOR 'DON'T ASK, DON'T TELL'
DiverMike replied to skyrider's topic in Speakers Corner
I don't have a dog in this fight since I am not active duty nor am I gay, but it amuses me when people make the argument the military will have to somehow have to separate the male bathrooms. The argument is based on "I am such a handsome stud and the only reason some other guy isn't preasuring me to have sex with him is it is against the rules". For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board. -
He actually said 'Billy is being a turd' which probably qualifies as a PA. By using the gerund 'being' it gives a little wiggle room. It indicates that the opinion is based on past or current action and not future. There is an argument to be made that the OP was of the opinion that Billy was unaware he was being a turd and that by enlightening him, and based on Billy being a wonderful human being, he would no longer continue turd like behaviour. Reading the thread though, I am not sure than anyone other than Billy thinks he is a wonderful human being. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

Any skydivers purchased a 'skydive' ambigram decal on Ebay?
DiverMike replied to npgraphicdesign's topic in The Bonfire
I stand corrected. I'm sure you run into this a lot as an IP lawyer given how easy it is to copy and paste something from the internet. It seems unlikely that the seller on EBAY would have deep enough pockets or he/she profitted enough from 'stealing' this copyrighted but unregistered image to warrant a lawsuit. You would have had to trademark the final product to lay claim to it. Did you? Otherwise it is fair game for anyone to duplicate. You must have also included the "tm" symbol when you put it on your website to protect your trademark. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board. -
Unfortunately, I live in Ohio where we don't believe in passenger trains. We gave $400 million back to the federal gov't that was going to fund high speed passenger rail between Cincinnati, Columbus, and Cleveland. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

It seems the going rate for 10,000 posts is one breast. What are you going to show for your 30,000th? For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

It helps tremendously assuming you are doing it after the last or only dive of the day and aren't doing it between dives. Oxygen toxicity is very dangerous at depth, so prebreathing O2 is usually frowned upon. I have been on many deep wreck penetration dives where we do our final deco stop on pure oxygen. Plane stalled because of a crocodile!!! (20 dead)
DiverMike replied to mdrejhon's topic in The Bonfire
It escaped, and panicked passengers ran towards the rear of the cabin. fixed it for you. If they ran towards the front, the center of gravity would shifted towards the front of the plane decreasing the likelihood of a stall. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board. -
I can't quite see the safety and training issue, although I do agree with the content. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

The biggest problem is determining the mental affect of marijuana based on current testing involving urine or hair. I don't think anybody truly believes that having trace TCH in your hair follicles affects your mental state. It is the THC that is in the cellular membranes of the brain that has a mental affect and testing that would be highly invasive. Maybe the amount of THC in saliva has a more direct correlation with the amount of THC in the brain. I wish there were a test that indicates how 'high' someone really is, but there isn't. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

If there is THC in your system you can be fired. Much like if there is alcohol in your system you can be fired. Both have been proven to impair you, to my knowledge nicotine has not. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

I set up a sub-S corporation a few years ago to protect myself when teaching Scuba. It cost about $100 bucks to do in Ohio. The down side is in order to be protected by the 'corporate veil' you must follow strict procedures or the veil can be easily pierced. Any funds received from the DZ would have to be paid to the corp. Income from the corp would transfer through via K1. If you are a Doctor, all of this is probably pretty familiar to you. I kept the corporation alive for 8 years, then realized the chances were slim enough that I wouldn't be successfully sued in an assumed risk sport if I taught correctly. You forgot Rule 9: Don't abuse your power. As a moderator you should have banned her just for the heck of it. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

Except it wasn't Twain. “I have no respect for a man who can spell a word only one way.” Attributed to Mark Twain by Chicago Daily Tribune, May 22, 1932. Without attribution to Twain, this appears as early as 1880, in Marshall Brown, Wit and Humor: “A man must be a great fool who can’t spell a word more than one way.” For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

Before we we married, my wife and I travelled through Mexico for the hell of it. A hotel in Chetumal (border of Mexico and Belize) did not have toilet seats and the towels were used by someone/something else before you. Electricity was only on from 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm. We weren't ugly Americans expecting mints on our pillows, but neither did we want any other foreign materials on our pillows. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

I guess you didn't ready the sticky at the top of the thread. It goes into great detail that specifies what you are trying to do is not allowed. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1161225;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board. -
