I understand your action. I have never heard "The Bad Touch" on the radio, but if I did I am positive that unless my mother were in the car I would have to sing along with it. It is my favorite Karaoke song. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

Why Are We Afraid to Tax the Super-Rich?
DiverMike replied to dreamdancer's topic in Speakers Corner
Hard labor doesn't amount to much. If that were the case, coal miners would be millionaires. I'm not rich, but I am firmly entrenched in the upper middle class almost entirely because I am smarter than most coal miners. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board. -

Good code. Might I suggest a file exists function that would prevent overwriting a file with the newfilename: Public Function bFileExists(Sfile As String) As Boolean If Dir$(Sfile) " " Then bFileExists = True Else bFileExists = False End Function Then change your code: newfilename = Replace(Files(a), OldFilename, UserForm1.TextBox1.Value & "_" & Number) If Not bFileExists(newfilename) Then Name Files(a) As newfilename Else i = MsgBox("New Filename exists, keeping old filename", vbCritical, "Something Horrible Happened") End If For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

Copyright issue for the Custom Dial Face ...

Minimum Requirements with Go Pro versus big camera
DiverMike replied to marcantonio152's topic in Photography and Video
Sorry also I missed you. I paid very close to the camera flying safety presentation. I'm sure it was too long for almost everyone in the room, but I listened intently to every word. The best part of the entire presentation was the beginning, "You know you might be ready to fly a camera if , , ,". I will definitely wait. I have a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer Instructor Rating. PADI has a legal team that is quite active defending/preventing lawsuits. Every instructor who teaches in the United States is required to get liability insurance through Vicencia and Buckley or you are not allowed to teach a single students. The yearly liability insurance is $588.00. Multiple that by the teaching SCUBA instructors and you see that PADI has really deep pockets and rarely (if ever) loses a lawsuit. This protection helps other agencies (NAUI) because lawyers aren't sniffing around scuba diving fatalaties. PADI has done a tremendous job marketing itself. Because of this, it carries a big stick and can demand that it instructors pay big bucks to be associated with it. USPA - not so much yet. I think you may be jumping to a conclusion. It is just as likely that the individual who posted his skydiving video edited it for length prior to posting and cut out all of the parts he considered to be boring. I know it is popular to bash skyride, but when it is done indiscriminately it lessens the affect of legitimate complaints. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

Illinois Woman Told She is No Longer US Citizen
DiverMike replied to Gawain's topic in Speakers Corner
This thread is certainly confusing, but I guess the someone in the Boneva's position today refers to someone born after 1986. Boneva's birthdate is before 1986. I suppose in 1986 they made the change from that point forward and did not make it retroactive. I'm just guessing. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board. -

I've used Turbo Tax for 15 years. In my petty attempts to become a slum landlord and other income producing chicanery, my printed return with accompanying subsidiary schedules to the IRS is usually about 50 pages long. It is a great product especially if you are using Quicken. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

Moved from Incidents - Ground cutaway issues with RSL
DiverMike replied to billvon's topic in Safety and Training
He must have typo'd it. It is actually in section 4, Category E, 3, a Page 68: 3. Procedures for high-wind landings a. Before landing, disconnect the RSL as a precaution in case a cutaway becomes necessary to prevent being dragged. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board. -
In the wacky world of homophones, a collection of three hardly rates. It falls in then middle of the pack with collections like "your, yore, you're","vain, vane, vein", et. al. There are dozens of them. If you were really cool you would come up with collections of homophones in the english language that contain four words, five, or even six. And to people like Billy Vance (whom I hope one day to meet at a boogy), a homophone is not a communication device you keep up your ass. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

'W' certainly was an idiot when it came to extemperaneous speaking, but why do you include: "I don't want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the commander in chief playing golf. I feel I owe it to the families to be in solidarity as best as I can with them. And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal." --George W. Bush, Washington, D.C., May 13, 2008 It seems to be a noble thing to do even given he sucked at golf. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

Looking for skydiving T-shirt design ideas...

So do I. Anybody seen anything like the attached? edited to add attachment For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board. -
The easiest way to prove that a climbing low pass was done would be to put the jump pilot on the stand and ask the question. Every pilot I know isn't going to risk his ticket and lie about not performing a low pass. It isn't violating an FAR, so it is easy to admit to. please critique my law school personal statement
DiverMike replied to spiccoli's topic in The Bonfire
It is a good personal statement, however the comparative statement sounds awkward to me. You are comparing a general statement with a specific event that may or may not be counter to being a "good thing". The most highly publicized recent airplane crash is Chesley Sullenberger landing in the Hudson River. He was declared a hero and that crash was universally declared a "good thing". Your statement logic ends ups being: "'A' is good thing while 'B' may be a good thing." For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board. -
To me, economics is voodoo, but if we pegged the value of wealth to gold wouldn't it be a finite resource and thus zero sum? I know we went off the gold standard in the mid 1970's, and just continue to print pieces of paper with pretend value not based on a finite resource. And since this is in speakers corner, I'd like to close my post by saying something bad about Democrats. They have funny looking elbows which make them less patriotic.
