  1. thanks for your advice . i have had standup landing mostly on target for every single jump besides the one i had to do a plf on purpose for license . im not overconfident but landings have not been challenging since my first solo. i have no problem with landing softly but just dont want to buy something im gonna want to get rid of after another 25 jumps. - Ryan
  2. I am about to get my A license and want to buy my own gear asap. im going to buy it eventually and everyday i wait im wasting alot of money. i went from 260 to 240 to 210 and tell u the truth had no difficulty and noticed no difference. i was thinking of buying a 190 main but think for longer term purposes i should purchase 170 for first. i am 6 foot 180lbs. i would appreciate any advice. thanks - Ryan
  3. age is not a consideration this is a sport u can do if u r remotely healthy at any age. the risk is nothing compared to everyday life. every year this is how people die compare to average of 29 skydiving deaths. 105 scuba diving 856 on bicycles, 7000 drowning, 1154 to bee stings, 4 playing basketball, 1063 boating, 13 hanggliding, 60 snowmobilng, 47 water skiing, 66 hit by lightning, 235 in airline accidents, and a whopping 50000 in car crashes. you take more of a risk walking out your front door everyday. so dont rule it out for the reasons u posted get out there and live.
  4. My name is Ryan. I went skydiving 9/21 for a "once in a lifetime experience" something i could say i had the guts to do just once. It didnt hit me right away but its all i though about. By the next day i thought to myself, how will i ever top that. I knew i could never go back to the life i knew. I was back in a week making as many jumps as i could. I never cared about clouds and weather before. My whole life i worked and planned for the future. Always planning for the next step. I know now i was just existing.I want to live and experience and feel everything life has to offer. Ive only completed b1 but falling with my own chute knowing that the only one getting me to the ground is me was amazing. I have a new respect and admiration for all involved .
  5. just did first solo b1 . never thought i would would do this or want to make it my life but i cant go back now. ive never felt like i do now. i was so scared first tandem and and amazed that i want it more with each jump. this has changed my life and changed perspective on everything. i think before i just existed and now i started to live.
