  1. Okay, I have read a lot of posts about wide angle lenses and am still confused. What size lens do you use for these three situations and which manufacturer? This is only for freeflying. 1-very close flying where one is taking docks, etc. 2-filming close to someone who is learning so they can use the video as a tool, say 2-10 feet. 3-Filming a freefly dive from the outside. Thanks for the help. Newbie camera user.
  2. 18 pounds with a Stiletto 107, PDR 113, Micron container.
  3. Morphine while in the hospital, now I am on vicodine. I rolled the truck too many damn times!
  4. I'll bytch slap both of you and I will like it! What do you think of that, little girl!
  5. The rock climbing online and offline community is an exact parallel to the skydiving community. It is really interesting to see the similarities within each group. Sometimes I am shocked by how much they are the same!
  6. Square 1 has the measurements and size ranges for the NVertigo. Go to their website and you can figure out which one will be the best fit. I have a Hurricane and really like it, but I think any of the helmets out there are good. It all depends on fit. try a few on.
  7. Someone contacted me about buying my canopy with the exact same scenario. I questioned them about it and I always got a reply that circumvented my questions. Then I sent an email stating "why not have your buddy who owes you money just wire it you." I never heard from them again. It is a scam of some sort.
  8. I jumped an Icarus Omega for about a hundred jumps and it has all the qualities you want in a canopy. It opened really slow!!!!! It took a minimum of 800 feet and I had 1 out of 4 take 1000. It had zippy turns and was fun to fly. The flare was typical of 7 cell canopies. I traded it for a smaller canopy after about 100 jumps. I bought it brand new. That canopy I flew is still for sale at cousindave.com. It has fewer jumps than he is listing it as having. It was a fun canopy.
  9. Why not a Sabre 170? You have been jumping that canopy. Are you not happy with the Sabre?
  10. Roy, get the hell out of Florida. That place is evil. If you don't, you will soon grow a mullet and dip Copenhagen.
  11. Started right off student status! It also works the other way around, free flying helps you learn RW. You have to rememeer that being on your belly is actually one dimension of free flying. They all help each other!
  12. USPA is known to lose applications! If you do not hear from them in a month, call! Also, always keep a copy.
  13. Just try to get the levels done as close together as you can. A few missed weeks here and there will not make a big difference. Many find it easier to do the levels close together because the more you are in the air, the more comfortable and relaxed you are for each progressive jump. The biggest thing to remember, however, is to have fun. You are skydiving!

  15. Yes, there is a lot of work at dropzones. However, I try to keep that one aspect of my life as far away from work as possible. Plus, I may then have to admit that I need more psychological treatment.
  16. Psychology based. Thank you for the offer. Of course, maybe I should be IT based, it would probably pay a hell of a lot more?
  17. Anyone know of a job available in CA? I will be unemployed in two weeks and the process of getting a new one in my field can take months. Anything under the table? I will work for low wages and do anything if so!
  18. I think the only requirement for the B license should be flat/brake turns. Let's keep it simple and thorough. The lack of this skill seems to injure or kill a lot of inexperienced jumpers, especially when they lack the experience to make sound judgments up high. They should demonstrate this skill on say, 5 jumps. An instructor or S&TA can sign off the requirement. What do you think?
  19. More than likely. I have some Monterey tickets I want to use up, but if the marine layer is thick I am heading straight to Hollister.
  20. Ready for that new container?
  21. I am not in a grouchy mood. I just KNOW that Florida sucks. I was born and raised there! Luckily, I moved away and entered humanity. Wish my family would wise up, so I would never have to come visit that bug infested swamp!
  22. Why would anyone want to live in Florida? Florida sucks. Florida is full of hicks. Actually, worse than hicks, they are swamp dwellers. Swamp dwellers are a lower life form of humanity. One could call it subhumanity. Oh yea, Miami . . .nope, just swamp dwellers who can afford to live slightly above the swamp. MOVE AWAY! GET OUT! Trust me, you can escape the swamp and save your life. I am pretty serious!

It had an Omega 150 originally. The container is designed to hold a 150, but it will fit a 135 to 170. Of course, the 170 will be tight, the 135 squishy. Yes, let's have a beer. I will call you. Maybe the Farmers Market? Ronnie
