I didnt think Saudi had one, your best bet is UAQ 40 min drive to the north of Dubai, It's where I jump. The people are friendly, but if you want to get a lot of jumps, go there during the week and let me know Ill jump all day with you, and I could arrange for a couple of other jumpers too. Sometimes I have to split up the cost of a jump ticket or two if there arent enough people for the load. Weekends are usually busy with tandems. Im new to the sport but I got on 6 loads on Sunday. Exit for fun jumpers is usually 9,000 which is 100Dhs= 26usd. Its not that bad there and they are making some changes soon??? They really need some different aircraft. I have been on 5 flights with my newly purchased rig so far, I put it in a gear bag I bought at Eloy from Square 2. I used the smaller pocket for my phones, wallet and a book. I wrapped some thick paper underneath electrical tape at the reserve D ring to harness connection,(thick paper just to prevent the stickiness upon removel), it seemed all to easy for one of the TSA agents to pick the rig up via the reserve handle. I was right there when he swabbed it, but you never know. Being a new jumper with a javlin, 190 main, 225 res, I thought I might have some trouble getting it into the overhead being kept in the bag. No problem on the US airlines or international flights plenty of room. Felt good to have it by my side the whole time.

Thanks to both of you for your time and response. Ill start looking for a 190 or bigger. Wouldn't be so urgent to buy if my DZ had enough rental rigs. I waited all day and didn't get on a load. ps I got the math for the wind loading, thx.

Hello to whoever, I have 12 jumps and I plan on staying in this sport for a long time, I love it so far. I have a line on a rig and will prob purchase it. Javlin, 160 main, 150 res. Im getting mixed reports, some say a 188 is best for me being so green in the sport, some say I will grow out of this canopy size withen 50 jumps or so. Does 30 sq feet make a huge diff? I heard talk of some canopys being hi preformance? Are all 160 going to handle the same for the most part? I have jumped a 168 and was fine with it. I'm looking for some more input. THX.
