All the time. No issues other than a bit longer to gather it in and stow it away.

I think this will work nicely. Will do some sewing tonight on some longer attachment tapes. Question for you. Are you using a regular dbag or a stowless bag on yours? I have a stowless bag with magnets in it, which gives the dbag a bit more weight to it, and I was thinking that this maybe leading to a greater pull on the tabs at opening time.

Mine is a paraconcepts too, and on jump 13 on it two weeks ago both bartacks gave out and I had to land out in the field to get my d-bad and pilot chute. I let them know (as I have another one on order) and they never got back to me yet on this issue.

which digital alti is best
sdsouthsask replied to daleskydive's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
The N3 now has a hard plastic mount that has a metal back and 4 screws to it (one in each corner) I took a wristband and pushed the screws through the wristband and put the N3 in the plastic case so it can be anywhere on your arm now. Easy to do and cheap. -
Here are a few pictures. I took out the earpiece and drilled out the center post so the outer layer was removed. Then drilled two holes in the plastic part there for the screws and put on the rail mount. Then put the earpiece back on. Because of the weight of the camera on there I put a drop of krazy glue on each of the 4 pieces of the earpiece that hooks in the corresponding earpiece holder so that it cannot come off easily if it was accidentally rotated (how you take them off) Hope this makes sense. As you can see it stands out just a bit more than the contour helmet mount, but it is way more secure.

Very Very well made. Use it on my Gath Helmet (modified the ear vent to accept it. It holds the Contour so much better than the Contour helmet mount which is way too easy for the Contour to slide back or forward or even off. This mount is very solid and holds very tight to the Contour. Mark

No the cutter is below on the wings

I too have had one do that. When bringing up the pressure for the last flap it too felt as if the pressure melted away and then my loop was much longer than desired. The washer metal was pulled from hole to hole. This was the only one that did it.

One question about this camera. When playing back footage does the slow motion on the camera work like the older cameras and go smoothly?

I agree, HE IS A HIPPIE!

Believe it or not but not all USB 2.0 readers are created equally. The one that sandisk puts out works very well and is very fast in comparison to others out there. Do a google search (couldn't resist that due to how many times you mentioned to people to do a search)

Be careful with e-bay for these. I purchased a couple and when they came I put them in my CX-7 and it gave me a message that the memory sticks might not work. I thought this was odd, but after checking out: http://reviews.ebay.com/FAKE-Sony-Memory-Stick-Pro-Duo-MagicGate-Cards-Exposed_W0QQugidZ10000000001236041?ssPageName=BUYGD:CAT:-1:LISTINGS:2 I find out I purchased a couple of counterfeit cards. I was lucky as the guy gave me my money back and even paid my shipping back to him. I was also interested in which cards to get as there seems to be a very wide range of cards available with a wide range or read/write speeds. For the time being I picked up a Sandisk 8GB card from Best Buy very cheap and the camera works well with it. The only down side to this card is the time it takes to download it to the computer.[/url]

Which memory stick are you using? Reason I ask is there are numerous Sticks all with different specs: the Sony Memory Stick ProDuo the SanDisk Memory Stick Pro Duo the SanDisk Ultra® II Memory Stick PRO Duo the SanDisk Extreme III MS PRO Duo the SanDisk Video HD Memory Stick PRO Duo I am assuming that they all record fine in the CX7 but their transfer speed to the computer is going to be faster or slower.

Here is a copy of part of the manual from a PC9, PC10, PC120BT, etc... Notes on the LP mode •When you record a tape in the LP mode on your camcorder, we recommend playing the tape on your camcorder. When you play back the tape on other camcorders or VCRs, noise may occur in pictures or sound. One would assume that it should work nicely, but many times it does not. With that said many times it does work nicely and you do not get problems.
-
Not 100% correct. When an older sony DV camcorder recorded in LP mode it would not play back 100% in a different sony DV camcorder.

He is telling Murray to simply borrow a camera to get his existing tapes onto his computer and then go and purchase a solid state vid camera.

I have a similar problem but a buddy of mine found a solution for me. Good old internet

I put about 800 jumps on my VX96 and I only had 1 or 2 hard openings. It opened very nice, but my JVX opens better in my opinion. No X-mod needed. Mark

I had a similar problem with the little red triangles on mine. They were just a bit too far apart, which let the top plate wiggle a bit. I took them off and glued them in just a bit and put the screw back in (with some effort). It now holds the top plate very well. When I was taking the red triangles off I realized very quickly the weak point on this particular camera mount. Mark

Why worry about AFF? SL will get you there just fine, and if the dz has been good to you why would you not give them the business? There is nothing wrong with taking the time to get where you are going. You might even appreciate it more when you get there. Mark

That is dust on the sensor.

I put a balloon over the end after the first one went on me after only a few days of jumping with it. The replacement with the balloon is going strong still after many jumps. Had to replace the balloon twice so far.

Canadian with a USPA A License

There is a very large difference in liability insurance between USPA and CSPA. -
They are great lenses but the down side to them is their inability to maintain focus when you zoom your camera in. They will allow you to zoom in to about 50% only, so when you are doing the landing portion of the skydive you cannot zoom in nicely to get a closeup on landing. The picture quality is great though, and I use one all the time. Mark

How about a little bit of crazy glue on a pin head. Glue it to the broken off post then pull it out. Not sure if it will stick to it well enough but worth a try. Mark
