What would you do with a cheating girlfriend?
cloudseeker2001 replied to okieheaddown's topic in The Bonfire
That is one sure way to get your point across. And then she will think twice about cheating....knowing that some man is dancing around in his living room listening to boy george wearing her panties. Trust me- men ARE willing to buy them. 100 a pop. Nice chunk of change hahahah Do you charge extra for skid marks? Cops let me down again……Unbelievable!

Yea, that is what I thought. But the guy did park in the lane of on-coming traffic in the middle of the cross walk.....maybe he will get a ticket in the mail for that! And the 24/7 video surveillance is well on it's way, it is only a matter of time....I say less than 10 years. "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream" -

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! Police officers can't be in twenty places at once, and you know what...stop and think before you start to bad mouth a cop/cops...Sad part is, police officers only get the information that a dispatcher tells them. And if there isn't enough officers to go around, well, I hate to say this, but like triage, worse cases come first...makes you wonder what else they had on their hands at that time of day...wait before you start to pass judgment... You also might be offending a wife of a police officer who puts his life on the line every goddamned day to help f*ckers like those gang members and wannabees stay alive to hurt someone else...Sorry, but sounds like you are blaming the wrong party...get over it. ~R+R...'Cause I am... edited to add: SPEAKER'S CORNER!!!!! From year’s of observation and personal experience, I think the cops, as individuals and as publicly funded civil entity, can do a lot better in my neighborhood and I believe that I am acting just buy making statements with reasonable examples such as this post. And I could careless who gets offended by what I have say. This is a general discussion and I feel I have provided ample details for people to make clear and thoughtful opinions concerning this topic. -

We have small, self sufficient communities here in Texas, but the CPS or FBI is usually called in to investigate, or, in at least one case, kill them with tanks! "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream" -

It occurred to me while waiting for the same light today that the “Big Brother” traffic cam probably caught most if not the entire incident. I wonder what affects that may have on the case? -

I suggest you re-read the post made on my thread and if you still cannot determine the main points, then take a basic reading class. Wolf, Wolf. "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream" -
Our bear protection is a dog and a can of bear spray (and our naturally loud and exuberant conversation, of course). Canisters aren't required north of Tahoe (which is good cuz they are ridiculously heavy and bulky), we'll be hanging the food. We hope not more than the occasional drift across the trail. We stay below 8000 for pretty much the entire trip so it shouldn't be nearly as bad as the thruhikers are hitting in the high Sierra right now. Cool.......

but it could the the inactions of persons like your self. I'm not sugesting that anyone step in and fight other people, but to have people standing around and doing nothing is the reason it pervades some neighbourhoods. What should have I done? I feel I could have killed both those people with my hands easy. I also have guns, knives and a large flashlight that could crack open a head....no problem. But do you think the State of Texas will make me Person of The Year for defending these two kids? -

I have participated in the ride-along program 3 times in fact and it was a learning experience. Some good some bad. The best action I could have taken in this situation was exaclty what I did, and that was to call 911. The officer that called me back may not have told me everything that happened on her side, but I hope that a officer was sent to the scene when I first made the call, and not 10 minutes later. And I have never once watch an entire episode of COPS, so I am not too sure what most people are brainwashed to believe! -

This was not something out of a movie. This was something very violent, very sudden and somewhat unexpected. Other people at the red light were completely unaware of the conflict and the people at the taco stand were mortified at best. And for those of you who think you should step in and introduce Mr. Smith & Wesson, they have a place for you where your good deeds are honored and it is called jail. Many reason why things do not change in the gang-infested neighborhoods and it is not the just actions of concerned people such as myself. -

You can probably answer your own question as to why I did not get involved. From the information I got from the HPD person on the phone, no police had even been dispatched to the scene and 10 minutes had passed since I made the 911 call. These two kids got the shit beat out of them by some very nasty people.......I will check local news media for reports and post them if something comes up. -

Today while on my way to work, I am at a red light and observe two Hispanic males stop in a red truck, jump out and start throwing gang signs and threaten two younger teens who are scared shitless-the younger ones are about 14 or 15…….I immediately pick up my cell and call 911. The younger kids are trying to escape but the older ones have them in a corner. While I am on the phone giving a complete description of the people involved, exact location, license plat number of the truck and all the other relevant info I can think of, the two older guys are beating the shit out of the two younger ones. The time was 3:22 by my clock. At 3:37, a police officer or a dispatcher (I do not know for sure) calls me back and asks me if I still need the police and that they can be dispatched at this time!!!!!!! Can you believe that? The last I saw before driving away was a crowd of people at a taco stand watching these two kids get their ass kicked by two older gangsters. I sure hope the cops handled this better than what it appears! "Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance, others mean and rueful of the western dream" -
