I don't think the frame rate is any slower , but when you rewind and f-f it jumps from clip to clip instead of being a smooth like mini dv . But that's just the different technology (mpeg-2)

I have seen f-111 canopies w/ over 1000 jumps still in action . Mind you most of them arent loaded more than0.8lb/ft2 , but I am a firm beleiver that your gear will last as long as you take care of it (within reason) .

I think registration is cheaper if you pre-register online , and you can buy a 10 jump package for $180 untill wednesday!!!!!!!!!!!(saves you $20)

I gave him my password to try to win 40% off a precision canopy when beezee was having a kid , and you had to guess what time the baby would be born and what sex it was . Recently i bought an ip-5 not knowing that they werent compatible with any dv cameras , or editing program (that i know of). If anyone knows any tricks on how to firewire , or transfer video (and audio) other than s-video please reply and to anyone looking to buy a new video camera , i don; recommend the ip-5
