  1. Dropped Nextel a couple weeks ago. Seems they didn't like that and sent me a bill for $723.61. Bastards. The best part is they tacked on a late fee. Funny, they charge my debit card religiously each month and it came out like clockwork. Just not happy they're closed right now so I can have a chat with them now... ----- ~~~Michael
  2. I'm still compiling a list as people email whether their DZ takes the certs or not. It's still pretty short. ----- ~~~Michael
  3. agree...that's why i'm in denver this week... ----- ~~~Michael
  4. Yes...thank you If you need hosting, please let me know as I can discount your hosting. ----- ~~~Michael
  5. You back in colorado already? I'm here for a couple days. Got in Saturday afternoon and flying out on Wednesday. Hit the DZ when I got here and might be back out there today at some point. ----- ~~~Michael
  6. Life is definitely good...I have a mountain backdrop behind me as I post this message... ----- ~~~Michael
  7. I'm thinking that since Mike entered into the conversation, and is in a position to address the issue with Skyride mgmt, they're looking for him to bring back an 'official' response from Skyride mgmt. We should expect nothing more from Mike other than he has forwarded this discussion on to Skyride mgmt. Remember that Christmas is coming up and Santa is watching you. So avoid the name calling and attacks on this sensitive topic. Before you hit 'post reply', walk away from the computer and think about what you've written and edit as necessary. ----- ~~~Michael
  8. The ones penned by a student that were coerced by staff (read: DZO) to reflect negatively on other DZs in the state. Note: DZO had an unwritten agreement that there would be no online smear tactics to other DZs in the state as I maintain a couple of the websites for the state. Will be forwarding to HH to request deletion of the review. ----- ~~~Michael
  9. Not really, you're only turning in your own DZ... ----- ~~~Michael
  10. Don't be a pest as that really doesn't accomplish much - and if no one wants to respond, they won't. I went back after reading your original post over there and copy/pasted as I figured it would get toasted. All valid arguments, unfortunately ASC is only guilty by association and reaps the bene's of Skyride. But, since they brought the topic up on their forums, I'd consider it fair game.
  11. Mike- Since you're in the play with the management of Skyride, and with respect to the rest of the skydiving industry, can you post a plan of action that Skyride intends on taking to resolve the issues regarding the Adventure Skydiving site. ----- ~~~Michael
  12. this was posted on ASC's forum by jumper007. Figured I'd cross post it here so there'd be a record:
  13. yea, they do have some decent sales on hardware this time of year... ----- ~~~Michael
  14. You missed the eeneR thread. ----- ~~~Michael
  15. With the speed of IDE drives now, it's not necessarily needed to go the scsi route. As for RAID, RAID 1 would be fine. ----- ~~~Michael
  16. So much blackmail material...lost... ----- ~~~Michael
  17. Sending priority will only expedite it a day or so. It's only expedited to the east coast, from there it's in the military postal system from what the post office has told me here a few times. Also, make sure the post office puts a rubber stamp on the outside of the package (not sure what it says, but the postal clerk should know). It expedites the delivery on a space available basis. e.g. it will go priority, space available. ----- ~~~Michael
  18. I agree...Here's an idea to make sure it gets there...Call your local reserve office if you know they're deployed. Get a name and address of someone in the group. If you want a name and address, my girlfriends brother is currently calling Camp Anaconda home. I can get some names from him if you like. ----- ~~~Michael
  19. the downside is that if the package is mailed to 'any soldier', it may never get there as real packages with names take priority. There was something on 20/20 or similar a few weeks ago. ----- ~~~Michael
  20. I'll call you when T goes to bed. She's getting close to being down for the count. Flight gets in Saturday @ noon. I'll be at the DZ later and on Sunday. ----- ~~~Michael
  21. Yes...and I know one that you don't know yet... Call if you want the answer... ----- ~~~Michael
  22. I'm joining the corporate world again. The primary company I was consulting for made me an offer that would have been dumb to pass on. So, I'm in the $ crowd again... Need hosting?

That's very cool. Too many people don't really understand what that number means to them. Always watch it and keep it high and you'll pretty much get anything that you want. ----- ~~~Michael
  24. Dropzone.com costs to run every month. Ground-Rush.com costs as well Mar. So does your secret new website that Jen now has online. You don't want to know what that server costs me each month right now. Need to build the business up on that and we'll go from there. ----- ~~~Michael
  25. Seems we also made a thread over as ASC's forums too... Koolaid is a good thing sometimes... http://www.ascskydiving.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=102&highlight=skyride ----- ~~~Michael
