  1. Ummmm...Norman Kent taking kick ass pictures too? ----- ~~~Michael
  2. That all depends. see - if you make us work for more than 2 or three hours in bed - that is high maintenance too. No. Your priorities are misguided. If she's got you working more than 2-3 hours in bed, she's saving you money because you can cancel your gym membership and redirect those monies to buying more jumps! ----- ~~~Michael
  3. Don't forget the infrastructure to get the water (hot and cold) to the shower head. I do not believe that Grissom hall had any shower facilities in it during its military days and everything in the showers to make it all happen is new. ----- ~~~Michael
  4. Since you a poor college student, IVPC is the closest (and cheapest) dz to you. Unfortunately, IVPC does not have an aircraft right now that has a workable spinny thing on the front to keep the pilot cool. Not a college student, but I ocassionally play one on TV. ----- ~~~Michael
  5. Well, Lew quit giving you grief about it didn't she? ----- ~~~Michael
  6. He doesn't know what to expect with a spanking from those two... ----- ~~~Michael

  8. Well, Mike does have a large family over there... ----- ~~~Michael
  9. It's not 'common'. Your stuff could walk away just about anywhere. It's probably more prevalent at larger boogies since more people are around. Make sure you keep a list of all of your equipment - serial numbers and such - just in case. Just like with anything else, if someone wants your stuff, they're going to get it. Just beat the crap out of them if you catch them. ----- ~~~Michael
  10. Never. Just very glad you took care of me when FedEx decided to scatter 2/3 of my order across the country. I've still got the package if you need it. ----- ~~~Michael
  11. I was all packed up and the cameras were in the trailer. ----- ~~~Michael
  12. Guess it better to shop at Sam's Club (or Costco)?
  13. why you do sir. Is that why you bitch every time i call up and order a couple hundred of them? ----- ~~~Michael
  14. Since they were riding on the same parachute, they'd be in violation since they were (theoritically) jumping two single harness dual parachute systems, an 'experimental' animal I'd say. Now, if they were jumping a Tandem system (dual harness, dual - main/reserve - parachute), and the passenger was unlatched and then rode down on the TMs shoulders, that (in theory) would be legal since it's a dual harness, dual parachute system, right? They were following the letter of the rules...
  15. That is correct - but, members of USPA or not, dropzones (not all) do tend follow the BSRs even if they are not members. The BSRs were created by trial and error. Why not go with the experience?
  16. Karma is as Karma does. It goes a long way when you welcome people and help them out. Neptunes obviously don't grow legs. If you see it, convince whoever's got it to return it. If you want to ship it to me first and I'll pass it back to the Rev, let me know and I'll pass on my FedEx number to pay for the shipping. No questions asked. Remember, we're a small family in the whole grand scheme of things. If it's out there, it will appear at some point. What's the story going to be then?
  17. Black helicopters in 'silent' mode maybe? anywho, chatted with a pilot friend and he said that in an attempt to divert suspicion, it's possible that they filed a flight plan with the destination being SDC. Here's another story that was in Friday's paper: August 20, 2004 Ottawa Daily Times Feds say plane crew to have been paid in pot By DAN CHURNEY, Staff Writer The two men charged with flying a planeload of marijuana into Skydive Chicago last week were to have been paid with marijuana, the federal government said. Ira J. Williams, 31, Manteno, and Gene M. Lisula, 31, Orland Park, are charged with intending to distribute marijuana, conspiracy to do the same and importing marijuana into the United States from Mexico. Williams and Lisula were arrested at about 3:50 a.m. Aug. 13, when they landed at Skydive Chicago near Dayton. They had been followed there from Texas by U.S. Customs agents in jet planes. U.S. Customs first said that about 1,000 pounds of marijuana were found in the plane, but court documents now say that the amount was 522 pounds. This amount would usually be valued at approximately $626,000. After their arrests, Williams and Lisula told agents that they met William Ivan Pardo on Aug. 12 in Brownsville, Texas. Williams and Lisula said they then went to an airport in Edinburg, Texas, about 50 miles northwest of Brownsville, where Pardo gave them the marijuana. In exchange for flying the marijuana to the Ottawa area, Williams and Lisula said they were to be paid 100 pounds of marijuana, according to court documents. This amount would be worth about $1,200. Pardo, a parachute rigger from Brownsville, was arrested in Brownsville the same day that Williams and Lisula were arrested at Skydive Chicago. The case is being prosecuted in Texas. A judge found all three men indigent and appointed public defenders to represent them. Williams said he was unemployed and owes $45,000 in credit card debt. Lisula has operated a construction business in the southern suburbs. The men are in custody in Texas.
  18. btw, none of you saw the big couch burning. Not sure how many couches went on Saturday night, but there really weren't many springs in the pile Sunday morning. Prior to heading out the the undisclosed location where the staffers were finally relaxing Sunday night, Chile Rellano Rodriguez and the newly incarnated J'Mo Fantastico (armed with a bottle of lighter fluid) took Chile's truck (read: Semi with a flatbed) around and gathered most of the remaining couches. Driving away from the entertainment tent and peering into the rearview mirror, I could see flames over the top of the tent. Chile always did like fire... ----- ~~~Michael
  19. No...We had a toga party in your absence to celebrate!
