If they weren't busy stealing golfcarts, they would've been at the alter. How many 4 wheelers does it take to catch a stolen golf cart? WTS is also in the boondocks, but close to a large metro area. Same thing could have happened there. I'm not picking on SDC, just relaying the information that's been provided. Does anyone know the guy (#3) arrested in TX? It's hard to say that SDC does not have a history of illegal substances. Roger was (is) SDC. The things he did in his past are part of that history. He did his time and, I would assume, taught the kids better than the road he chose. Experience is the best teacher. ----- ~~~Michael

If canopy A (Mr. Bill) would have been at point B (direct path of bozo landing crosswind), it's possible that C (bozo landing crosswind) could have collided with canopy A. It's all about odds. We take them everyday. When you add in a large boogie, lots of people (with several who land whatever direction they like) you're just increasing the risk. While other aspects appear to have been thought through, their poor choice of landing area (in front of the FAA no less), event, and disregard for seeking permission to perform such stunt first put many others beyond themselves at risk. Step back and look at the big picture. Now, was it cool that they did this? Yes. But, look at the big picture beyond the jump itself. That's the piece some appear to be missing. ----- ~~~Michael

Leave him alone. He's just upset I posted an article that had SDC and something bad associated to the name (probably just a major freak of nature that it happened there though). I personally don't believe that SDC is involved with this at all - Roger probably learned his lesson and passed that on to the kids. The only reason it was posted to begin with was that some nitwits landed at SDC. I've since been told that the original two were associated with SDC at some point. One was a parttime pilot/tandem master, the other the fireworks dude. It's funny how some people you think you know, you really don't know them at all. ----- ~~~Michael
