That was a 'war' between two countries though. This is between a country and what it stands for and a set of ideas. The cold war was a battle on how close to the line you could get without really pissing the other off too much. This is a completely different 'enemy' with no country.

Speaking of which, your package is leaving today (Wednesday) and will be in CA on Thursday. Relax. It's FedEx. ----- ~~~Michael

Contact 1800skyride. They seem to be holding all the marketing puffery right now... ----- ~~~Michael

Just a thought, going into the WFFC not current isn't the best plan...get back up to speed before you come out...or, the other option is jump early when the skies are pretty void of jumpers and Senor Mike takes his pocket rocket and points it straight up! ----- ~~~Michael -

Trust me...there are tons of entertainment opportunities throughout the week that are just as good, better, or worse than the sunnyone... ----- ~~~Michael -
Do you have a link to a story to back this up? I've only seen one article that makes reference to him letting someone borrow his laptop somewhere to check his messages. Just happened to have a 9/11 link. As for the other part, It's not hard to sit there and look not scared and be scared. It's probable that he had no clue what was coming next. (edit for grammar)

Probably not spyware. I got it 5 times to my Ground-Rush.com account, but none to the primary account, just random addresses that went to the catch all account. ----- ~~~Michael

Last week? Yes...Some not so pleasant person hacked into one of my email accounts and unloaded a few million pieces of spam before the ISP shut my account down. The 7.5 million bounces was a good indication. The fun part was this kindly person left a few finger prints when they got in at the ISP. My ISP (owned by former Airborne dude) provided me said fingerprints. Let's just say that I had a little bit of fun once I got past the dudes firewall... ----- ~~~Michael

Can you post the article? I don't really feel like joining another website...

If it's the article I'm thinking about, it was on the Para-Rescue jumpers in the military. ----- ~~~Michael

NORCAL: B-17 jump at Hollister THIS AFTERNOON if we get another person!!
WFFC replied to mfrese's topic in The Bonfire
This is one bird that I just never had in the budget to pay for. Well, the money was set aside last year, but the bombers didn't have the WFFC in their schedule. They'll be back this year and the best part is...the money is still set aside... ----- ~~~Michael -
Not involved with the negotiations, but if it's flying, it will probably be at the WFFC. ***The above statement is my opinion and should not be taken as fact - Wait for the announcements*** Again, my rule is that it doesn't go on Freefall.com until the aircraft is confirmed to be there. ----- ~~~Michael

I second Rev's opinion. I've got Avast running on my desktop, McAfee running on my server. McAfee's support hasn't been that great when I've dealt with them, but the issues did get fixed. Never got that out of Norton. ----- ~~~Michael

Hey Asshole! (Now don't everyone answer at once) Johnny- I'm still working with the ISP to resolve the message board problems. They are the ones that implemented it and I've used it before. I (and they) was unaware of some of the bugs that it has until it actually was implemented. We are working on solutions to get it fixed. Please be patient - we'll have a solution soon. ----- ~~~Michael

12/12 on the first try... honest, I haven't seen a porno in a few years... ----- ~~~Michael

That I don't know...they generally tour together from what I've seen in the past. The tour schedule doesn't go out that far on Colling's website either so I can't be sure where the B24 will be... More when I know~ ----- ~~~Michael

WFFC replied to mfrese's topic in The Bonfire
That's the B-24 that they have in their stable, but somewhere I heard there are 3 airworthy B-24's. One in the Smithsonian, one in a WWII museum in England and the Collings Foundation has the only flying bird. As for costs, this is from the Collings Foundation's website: Also, the B-17 will be returning to the skies of the WFFC this year. I should have the details/dates on the website this afternoon. The raffle will also return. ----- ~~~Michael -
The Collings Foundation will once again return to the skies over The World Free Fall Convetion when they return with their historic B-17, the 'Nine O Nine'. Jump tickets will be $400.00 and are fully deductible. All proceeds go towards helping defray maintenance and operations costs for the aircraft that have reached over $3100 per operating hour per aircraft in the Collings Foundation collection. More information on this as well as the ticket raffle will be online shortly at Freefall.com ----- ~~~Michael

WFFC replied to mfrese's topic in The Bonfire
Not sure what bird (name) it is, but the Collings Foundation's B-17 & B-24 are a pretty penny to fly. If a part breaks, it generally needs to be remanufactured in order to get it fixed. Expensive to fly? yes/no. but if something breaks - yes. ----- ~~~Michael -
Who's Mike? Mar - It would definately create some good vibes with you, Renee and Val all in one place. Besides, the weather is better there than here. And, just so you don't get burned out, there's these snow days in winter that you can go skiining and possibly play 18 holes of golf in shorts - all in the same day in winter no less - if you like. ----- ~~~Michael
