I just have to laugh. Because, I heard from my cousin's brother's uncle's girlfriend's best friend's brother's mechanic that the cubs are winning the world series this year. As I'm sure Spence will attest, it's crapshoot sometimes. you just don't know what to expect. ----- ~~~Michael

No it's not that hard. And you know what's up. I've had some long discussions with the operator and what you've got is the executive summary. Test drops got delayed till at least July 5th. Once they're complete, there's a data compare between flight data of a 727, DC9 and MD80. As soon as i know things, you'll know them. If there's nothing new, there's nothing new. Nothing hidden. Ask around. i don't hold any punches and I'm going to give it to you as it is. ----- ~~~Michael

Do I need to get a Drs excuse for you? ----- ~~~Michael

Ummm...Beth, don't shoot me for this one, but the music selection does need to change ----- ~~~Michael

I get harassed enough by the TSA as it is and I personally think they're worthless - I don't feel any safer with them at the helm. I've seen too many areas where they've let things slide. I've had 14 security passes this year where my ID and tickets were never checked. ----- ~~~Michael

If it makes any difference, I have never jumped the jet either so I do have a vested interest in this. ----- ~~~Michael

I can be there and I volunteer to be a test jumper. Call me! The requirements for the test dummies was no brains. do you qualify? ----- ~~~Michael

Interview is set for Wednesday @ 11 AM when I get into IAH. means I'll have to look presentable when I get there. ----- ~~~Michael

Not in Houston this week. I'll know today if I'll be there next week (Wed-Fri). Might be good - I'm top tier on American and already requalified for next year. ----- ~~~Michael

The test drops did not complete as anticipated on Monday or Tuesday and have been rescheduled for July 5th at the earliest. ----- ~~~Michael

I'm a bit more aware of what's going on than you might think. I've been waiting for the dust to settle on this. The topic has been a bit to hot to even handle to be honest. The Jet test drops were to occur Monday or yesterday. I'm awaiting the initial results. ----- ~~~Michael

That's Perris ad Test drops were to be completed yesterday or today. As soon as I know how they went, I'll post it in the WFFC thread that I'm putting everything in. ----- ~~~Michael

The Navy Leap Frogs join us this year on July 26th through the 30th and will be available for demos and load organizing! Be sure to stop by the Load Organizers tents to say hello, and organize a skydive! ----- ~~~Michael

ya know, it always helps to actually attach the photo. ----- ~~~Michael

It looks like one of his, but I don't recall the checkered stripe on the vertical stab. Here's the one that will most likely be coming. The one you posted looks like one of Don's as I recall, but not one of his. ----- ~~~Michael

(Sorry, no jumping the L39). Don will have one of his L39s at the WFFC again this year and will be offering rides for anyone who wants to go. Costs? $2000...100% of the proceeds will be donated to charity so the full amount is tax deductible. ----- ~~~Michael

Perris Jet Numbers: 80 Seats (72 coach, 8 first class)...no floor seating at this time and these numbers are subject to change depending on what the FAA says. Ride to altitude will be a whopping 4 minutes. Jumprun speed: 130-140 kts (Highspeed pass info is pending) ----- ~~~Michael

Is Ray still doing high altitude drops?

Call FedEx and get a quote from their Custom Critical division. They are available 24/7. ----- ~~~Michael

I'll defer to Gary Peek's answer on this one as it seems he hit it on the head. I've been advised there will be a helo there. As the negotiations with the operator have not been completed, it hasn't been confirmed. I'm not going to put anything up that hasn't been confirmed. Several years ago, I had a sidebar on the aircraft page to let people know what we were working on. many things went up, many things went down. Some moved to the confirmed column, many did not. Yes a 727 was generally in the 'We're working on this' column. It's all a gamble. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. I'm awaiting a response from the operators asking the following: Max jumpers per load (Some seats, assuming some floor seating) Anticipated speed on jumprun highspeed pass These were bigway's questions. Not all of the ones I found I've answered here as they were addressed in the other thread going in General Skydiving. I'll be posting primarily here so things stay in one spot. Please let me know if I missed anything. ----- ~~~Michael

Psssst... P.S. Most everything will be managed over there so I can keep everything in one spot. ----- ~~~Michael

GMT -7 eh? Thats Pacific time zone. Sliding yourself a couple extra hours there eh? I'm on to you Mtn time actually. I've covered GMT+3 to GMT-10 this year so there is a new game coming out called 'Where's Michael' because sometimes I don't even know where I am. ----- ~~~Michael
-
I've got to go find them all now too. Midnight GMT -7 ----- ~~~Michael

come on, don't you like buzz jobs? It will be full altitude I'm just not sure on the exact how high up it is. If anyone that's following this has done any of the 727 jumps in the past, please chime in. If I had to venture a guess, it would be 13.5 - 14k, but I'll asterik that with I'm not sure. ----- ~~~Michael
