Texas makes up for no income tax with speed traps. I have had 1 ticket in the past 5 years and that was within one hour of being in TX. The only reason I drove is because it was Sept. 12 of last year. My Argentina/NYC trip had to wait so I drove to TX...Big mistake.....The Texas Dept of Public Safety officers are all (most) complete egotistical assholes that hide behind bushes to get you. I drive 90-100 on the 210 every day to Perris and nobody hassles me ever. I even did a 40mph emergency brake turn on Goetz Rd. right in front of a Perris cop and all he did was look at me funny. The cops in CA are too busy planting bloody gloves at murder scenes to worry about speeding. Mike

Request a Jury Trial...They will say you are not entitled but you are...Keep insisting and they will drop the charges. I have gotten out of at least 5 tickets that way, especially in small towns. You just get Aunt Bee the clerk all flustered, but be nice, and she will drop it. Just start quoting miscellaneous. made up sections of city code and the Constitution. Mike

You got a picture of him??? I hope it is not who I think it is.... Mike

Which begs the question....Could you stand being with someone you do not love if they were rich and beautiful? I tried when I first moved to CA....Really Hard because she was really rich.....I just could't fake it and dumped her for this broke, crack addict prostitute that I loved. Damn my morals! Mike

Did you hear what happened when the Vinegar truck ran into the water truck? . . . . . . . . . . Douche! (Ram fists into each other for effect)

Is she hot? What else is she interested in selling? I might be interested in some Melons to go along with the eggs. Mike

I have a very disturbing power point presentation about a girl that was injured in a DUI crash in TX that my company sent all of us. It is too big to attach but if anyone wants it, PM me and I will email it to you. It will make you think twice about drinking and driving and, better yet, mabye stop a friend from doing it. I had 2 recent incidents in my life that involved drinking and driving. One involved me and one somebody I care deeply about. No serious consequences other than bent metal resulted, but that was by the grace of God. Drunks are too impaired to know or care to know they shouldn't be driving. I had friends that knew I shouldnt drive and did nothing, as I did nothing for my friend. It scared me sober. Im also going to be the biggest asshole at the bar when a friend of mine wants to drive after drinking. Another bonus, I have lost 15 pounds since I quit drinking beer.....I don't miss it. Mike

That Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist is being hailed as a hero for offering his assistance at that tragic auto accident? He would be labeled a coward if he drove off or just stood there. Everyone should offer assistance in a case like that. I had a car get t-boned right in front of me a few years back. I stopped, one lady in front was dead and on top of the other live one but there were 2 unbelted kids in the back. A 4 year old boy who was laying like a rag doll with shards of glass in his face and a 4 mont old baby that was unconcious and completly wrapped like a burrito in the C pillar. I can't belive how many people did not stop. It took 5 of us to pry that baby out but it took at least 10 minutes for enough people to stop. And this was in Texas (Near Sherman) where people are supposed to be helpful..... We have a warped sense of duty in this country.....big time.... Mike I still am bothered by what I saw that day.

Sorry if I offended anyone, I was drunker than an Indian on payday when I made the poll. Heck, we all know the holocaust never really happened anyway. I have to go wake up my gardner now, hes asleep. Mike (Black from the waist down)

Hence the easy non-intellectual out, #10.

Pussies......what were you doing with your pants unzipped looking at DZ.com anyway? There are MUCH better sites than this to have your pants unzipped. At least vote for #10 before you go!

#10 has a personal sting to it for me.... Mike

I just noticed it has wheelie bars. Every male needs to own a car with wheelie bars at some point in his life. It should be a right of passage. Mike

Shit, I grew up in Texas on a farm and I can tell you, beyond doubt, that no self-respecting farmer would be caught dead in a mini-van, even if it was free. You social status depends on the 'F factor' of your truck. F-350 Dually being the Bentley of Trucks. You also call a $100 bill a "Long Wheelbase 10". Yall bet now listn' Mike

You, my friend, are my inspiration, my guiding light, my windward cove on a stormy sea. I have seen true beauty before, and yes, in the form of a bear, I have seen it again. Bless you my OPEC brethren. Mike

Perris is 19 miles from my door....but Im a weekday jumper and usually stay somewhere down there on my 4 days off.....I drive 150 miles a week I would guess....thats 10.....lets say 20 gallons a week on a bad week....Is that about what everyone else uses?

http://www.roadandtrack.com/reviews/firstdrives/articledisplay.asp?articleid=207 Dude, it HAS traction control, I wish every day my STS was rear wheel drive and I never sit in traffic so a manual is no problem. All the reviews I read are favorable and Im going to the dealer tomorrow. For 5 grand more than the Accord coupe I get a car that will hang with a ZO6 and any Ferrari. Im sold. Mike
-
Heck, Im actually doing pretty good. My last toy burned 18 gallons an hour of leaded gasoline and I used it every day. I sold it a year ago, not because I'm green but because the insurance went up after Sept 11. Mike
-
Yeah....I was looking at the V6 coupe.....Beautiful car and they are coming out with a moving map GPS and a 6 speed manual in January.....But, it is still not a torquey V8 and I bet none of the '04 stangs will have anywhere near 390 HP. Damn.....What to do....I could always keep the pimped out Caddy. Old people love it and it hauls ass. Mike
-
Im thinking of going to trade the Caddy in on a new Mustang SVT Cobra tomorrow. They get the same mileage 16/20. I was going to get an Accord but the 390 HP V8 is such a pleasure. My rationlization: I live 2 miles from work. I know people that live 50 miles away and drive Civic's but they use more total gas....See where Im going with this......? Are my simple pleasures worth a tiny bit more of our natural resources? I figure as long as I don't move far from work, Im actually helping the enviornment........ I still haven't convinced myself. Please dont judge me unless you secrete testostarone and have stepped on a pedal connected to 390 ponies. Mike
