  2. Hi Guys, I have the same "problem". I'm going to FL in January and do not own a car (in US)
  3. You must be a very friendly person!!! --- BLUES - Jacob D-601, Denmark
  4. If you not are sure what disipline you are gonna do... Then you should wait for a while before getting gear... Things you need anyway, is a altimeter googles and maybe a helmet... But skydiving gear is not free! I dont think people are giving it away... But happy hunting!! --- BLUES - Jacob D-601, Denmark
  5. Actully at my 3rd jump i think, some taxi company came on the radio... When i came down at about 1000 ft. my instructor was back!! Pretty scary...
  6. Congrats on your first CAR landing!! ...good thing you didnt hit the windshield or anything else hard! Did you buy beer that night?? --- BLUES - Jacob D-601, Denmark
  7. Its almost the same in Denmark... I rembered wrong!!! SORRY!! Is't only 20 supervised packings and 5 examination packings... And the 4 checks is pretty much simular to the Australian ones...
  8. Wonder if Beer should be on the skydivers drug list... Your performance in story telling is getting better and better, the more beers you get... --- BLUES - Jacob D-601, Denmark
  9. Woah, forty practice pack jobs with 4 check stages each time for mains! That seems a tad excessive, its not rocket science. Does Denmark generally have conservative rules like that? No its not Rocket Science, but its good that everybody have to ask for help in their packing, that way you wont get a bad pack job because someone i afraid to ask for help... --- BLUES - Jacob D-601, Denmark
  10. In Denmark, you have to get a packing course before you start packing... Typical after 5 - 15 jumps... The course is 1 evening... After that you pack 40 times with 4 checks under the packing... After the 40 packings you get 3 examination packings, with cutaway and filtered lines... After that you get Packing certificate... Thats just the way we do it in Denmark...
  11. I totally agree with that. I jump because I like to jump. No other reason is needed. I don't care what anyone else thinks. I agree too... But in a DZ like the one i come from we have to fight to get people to know the sport... And new skydivers is hard to get... Maybe it could be good if sport got more known, not only from the accidents in the news, but from a big thing like the olympics... --- BLUES - Jacob D-601, Denmark
  12. Fencing was an original sport in the first games, USFA currently lists some 30,000 members (US only) also USFA membership is not required the way USPA is (for the most part) so many college clubs never join... bear in mind we (the US) pretty much get our asses handed to us in international competitions...one reason why you dont hear anything about it during the olympics... although the US females look pretty strong this year.. if your interested here is the only show times for fencing this year.. Sat Aug 14, 1pm CNBC Tue Aug 17, 6pm BRAVO Thu Aug 19, 2pm MSNBC Thu Aug 19, 6pm BRAVO if you think skydiving is not a spectator friendly sport, watch fencing.....I'll be impressed if anyone who hasnt trained at all (or is uncurrent even, as at the Olympic level actions happen right near the perception threshold) can tell me (call the action) what happened for each point.... Oooops... A fencing entusiast... I actully didnt know that fencing was that big!! I have done a little fencing a couple of years ago, but i think its a very strange sport!! And yes!!! You have to go in slowmotion to see the points!! --- BLUES - Jacob D-601, Denmark
  13. There is some pretty funny threads... I just looked at the Olympics Official Website... Olympic Sports And i wonder... A sport like Fencing!! There must be more skydivers in the world than fencers... Or am i wrong?? --- BLUES - Jacob D-601, Denmark
  14. I have done that now... I see that the subjekt have been turned before... It was just a thought when I looked at the opening tonight... --- BLUES - Jacob D-601, Denmark
  15. I think so too... Its not fan friendly to watch RW video... --- BLUES - Jacob D-601, Denmark

  17. I just considered... When is skydiving gonna be a disipline in the Olympics... RW or Freefly could be funny to see there... Does anyone know why we dont see anything like that?? --- BLUES - Jacob D-601, Denmark
  18. All we hear in Europe (Denmark) is that most Americans think it was a mistake... And that we never should have started the war... What is your opinion??

  20. I think so too.... It seems like a good camera, but lets see after some more jumps... But thanks to all!!!
  21. I think its pointing too much up and we are going to correct it... (my rigger build it) The first issue was if the camera was any good at skydiving... Some people says that its only Sony, that works... But thanks! --- BLUES - Jacob D-601, Denmark
  22. Yes... Its not good... But... I only mounted it to see if the camera worked in skydiving... If its shows to be ok, i wil mount chincup and ringsight.... --- BLUES - Jacob D-601, Denmark
