I just saw your drawing of the wolmari and would have to say that its kinda wrong, one of the golden rules I was told when I was learning to pack was to never mix the right side with the left side of the canopy cause that can cause a mal line over and have scary openings. Take a look at my sketch. Wolmari is almost like normal propack. edit line: I saw it in 2 different web pages if thats not wolmari please do tell me. HISPA 21 www.panamafreefall.com

I dunno much about pull outs but I once saw a rigger from canada that packed the pilot chute on the right side of the container, the container was a javelin and if am not mistaken it was on the side that is under main flap number 4. HISPA 21 www.panamafreefall.com

A friend at the dz has one (i think its atom) and sure looks good small, freefly all the way, great riser protection, great padding, great velcroless toggles, only problem is that the store is in france so its a no good since panamenians think that skydivers are loaded with money (something that we all know is not true) they charge to much to let it pass custom. I saw it 4 weeks ago and he is a very skilled jumper (has been invited to a lot of records in the past), he forgot to set the brakes, very scary and painful slam he got, shit happens. It was a stilleto. Saw a skydiver that didn't packed the slider all the way up and got a slam. It was a sabre. Poor body position is not the only thing that can cause a horseshoe. Use it to cut the safety belt of the plane if you get entangle while exiting (pilots should have one just in case). Cut line over on your MAIN, if you have the altitude and the time, try to cut the line over main if you can't cut it, go to the reserve, the reserve can also have a line over so its best to try things with the main before going to the reserve and it can be done. Use it to cut risers if you can't release them when having a mal. As a last resort to cut the line over on a reserve. If you try CReW the CReW instructor will teach you some other use. Correct, poor body position can cause severe line twist. Pull while having an uncontrolled turn and you will transmit all that energy to the line twist giving you a sever line twist. Glad you asked. I once saw a student do a hop an pop from a cessna, for some common reason with newbies the skydiver went to his/her back and when pulled the PC, it started to horseshow in the hand (is it called hoseshoe when its in the hand?) she made the regular punches and got untangled. Saw it once and also heard the story that it has happened again (can't remember if it was the same person or to another person). Since am not an instructor I might be mistaken by mixing the back to earth pull with poor body position pull, maybe you can clear that out for me. HISPA 21 www.panamafreefall.com

two words mixed together can fix that problem: Shot-gun. "Here CEO... here CEO CEO CEO... *BANG!* " problem fixed.

Whuffo classic number one on the other subject: use the gear bag, I don't think an airliner will pay you 3000$ for a suitcase if they loose it. HISPA 21 www.panamafreefall.com

Does freefly experience REALLY translate into RW skill?

You know that the story of moby dick was derived from a real true story... I know who to believe and this one is a trust worthy man. HISPA 21 www.panamafreefall.com -

>>does poor body position cause malfunctions? Horseshoe malfunction can be caused with poor body position or severe line twist. >>Could be the pack job Line overs are caused thanx to poor pack jobs. >>the thing that REALLY affects openings the absolute most is body postion, not pack jobs. try packing it slider down without setting the brakes, nice slam you will get or roll the tail 50 times and you might get yourself a line over or tension knot if am not mistaken. remember this: what you pack is what you will get. Does freefly experience REALLY translate into RW skill?
drenaline replied to Jessica's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I heard a story of a very talented cameraflyer who has filmed almost all the famous skydivers (olav, fly circus, airspeed, skysurfers, etc.) and he said that the best freeflyer he has ever seen in action and filmed was jack jeffreys and some other RW people. RW makes you know how to fly your center of gravity, the belly, belly is the key. HISPA 21 www.panamafreefall.com -
Funny thought: can you imagine a 100lbs skychick with a 200lbs skydiver HISPA 21 www.panamafreefall.com
