    MAD AS HELL

Yeah, I'm pissed too.....today is payday, there's a three day boogie the day after tomorrow, and my new gear just arrived. Could things be any worse? J/K! I'm pretty damn psyched! "My eyes are dry and my hands are clean and I can't believe all the things I've seen" -- Blind Melon
  3. A couple DJ's here in Denver printed up a couple thousand shirts that have a picture of a big panty liner and has the caption "Got Wings?" hahahahahaha! :) "My eyes are dry and my hands are clean and I can't believe all the things I've seen" -- Blind Melon
  4. OK.......Drury's OT goal in game 2 was much sweeter! Don't discount the Av's yet, they're a great pressure team and thrive in the "must win" situations. I predict it will go all 7....and the Av's will take it! "My eyes are dry and my hands are clean and I can't believe all the things I've seen" -- Blind Melon
  5. None yet....but I'd sure like to. If yer ever out in Colorado look me up! Go Avs! "My eyes are dry and my hands are clean and I can't believe all the things I've seen" -- Blind Melon
  6. I've had intermittent back issues for the past seven or eight years. Initially, I went to a doctor to check it out, and they just ended up giving me pills to mask the pain. On a whim, I tried going to a chiropractor....and let me tell ya, he was the only person who could really make the pain go away. I know a lot of people don't believe in (or trust) chiropractors, but for me it worked great. At this point, I only have to go once or twice a year. Hope you get to feeling better.....oh yeah, and congrats on getting your own rig! "My eyes are dry and my hands are clean and I can't believe all the things I've seen" -- Blind Melon

    I made it.....

Welcome to Colorado.....hope it's everything you anticipated. You should definitely try to make it out to the Boogie at Brush next weekend. It's gonna be a good 'un! B~ "My eyes are dry and my hands are clean and I can't believe all the things I've seen" -- Blind Melon

    Brush Colorado

Right ON! I'll be there for sure (probably sportin' my DZ.com shirt). Should be a great boogie....they usually are. And you're right...best (most friendly) bunch o' jumpers in the state! I'll keep an eye out for ya and we can get some jumps in! : ) B~ "My eyes are dry and my hands are clean and I can't believe all the things I've seen" -- Blind Melon
  12. Anyone else surprised that Clay hasn't piped in yet about how much he actually adores the ewoks? Or Chewbacca for that matter? "My eyes are dry and my hands are clean and I can't believe all the things I've seen" -- Blind Melon
  13. Lazerq3 (Jason) is from Utah.....not sure where he jumps though. He might have some good suggestions for ya though. B~ "My eyes are dry and my hands are clean and I can't believe all the things I've seen" -- Blind Melon

    Quasar II

Thanks for the input that everyone has offered. The guy who's selling it bought it from a rigger and says that it's got very little wear and has always been packed indoors. He's bringing out to the DZ this weekend, so I plan on just taking it to a friend of mine who is a master rigger and will give it a full unbiased inspection. Hopefully it all passes, cause this is a pretty sweet deal for my fir**.....ooops, I mean pre-second gear! Earthquake

Yeah....I was watching the Colorado / San Jose game and the announcers were talking about it. I was in LA a few years ago and completely slept through one that was about the same magnitude. 16. We were winded out on Sat. and managed to only get one load up Sunday morning, but even on that load, we hit heavy clouds at about 7-8k.....launched a six way, but only a couple points out of it. :( "My eyes are dry and my hands are clean and I can't believe all the things I've seen" -- Blind Melon

    Mavericks

Hey PLFKING....... Enjoy the Deadwings run while it lasts.....AV's are gonna take out the Sharks and then spank Detroit for the West. Conf. finals and then take another Stanley Cup victory ...(again)! :) "My eyes are dry and my hands are clean and I can't believe all the things I've seen" -- Blind Melon

    it opened!

Yeah.....I just jumped my first pack job a few weeks back. It was actually rental gear, and after I'd packed it, I went inside to get manifested for the next load, and while I was gone, another jumper grabbed the rig and was heading out to the plane. I did catch up with him to tell him that he was jumping my first unsupervised pack job....all he said was "Cool...I'll jump your rig now and drink your beer later! : ) " ...haha. Opened perfect for him, so I packed it again and then jumped it for myself. "My eyes are dry and my hands are clean and I can't believe all the things I've seen" -- Blind Melon

    Quasar II

A guy at my DZ is looking to sell his second rig, and I'm pretty interested in buying it. The main (Spectre 170) only has 300 jumps, one reserve ride on the Tempo 150, and the cypress is only a year old. The only thing I'm uncertain about it is the container.....a Quasar II. I've never seen one or even tried one on before. He's bringing it out next weekend for me to check out, but I wanted to do a little research here first and see if anybody's got an opinion on this rig. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. 20. 2: 1: 0 Damn winds kept us grounded on Sat., and to make matters worse, I had to see the Avalanche lose to the Sharks and take a lead in the series. Sunday, we only got one load up and thick clouds at 8k....so it was kinda like a glorified h-n-p. Oh well, a little air is better than none any day!!! :) Couple good things this weekend though....I found out a kick ass lightly used rig for a great price....SCORE! Also found out that our pilot has a penchant for good scotch (as do I) and promised me some extra altitude for sharing with him (which I would've done anyway)....so next weekend I'll take him up on the offer for sure ........14-15k will be awfully nice! :) "My eyes are dry and my hands are clean and I can't believe all the things I've seen" -- Blind Melon
  21. I jump out at Brush every weekend.....best DZ in the state IMO. We've got a King Air right now....13.5k in about 14 minutes. Bikerbabe is right....really great people. You won't have any problems finding someone(s) to jump with! "My eyes are dry and my hands are clean and I can't believe all the things I've seen" -- Blind Melon

    Helmet Advice

Thanks for the suggestions. My glasses are pretty small (kinda like John Lennon's wire frame ones), so hopefully I can find something that will accomodate. Currently, I wear them under my Kroops goggles, but it just isn't too comfortable. "My eyes are dry and my hands are clean and I can't believe all the things I've seen" -- Blind Melon

    Helmet Advice

Can someone give me some advice on a good RW helmet? I think that I'd prefer a full face....(since I have to wear my glasses when I jump). I've got 35 jumps so far and am currently doing a lot of two and three ways with the intent of doing 4 ways soon. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! 24. Senior Director of Engineering and Network Operations for a global multimedia firm.....sounds impressive, but I really just have a great team working for me which allows me to spend way too much time reading all these damn posts! : ) "My eyes are dry and my hands are clean and I can't believe all the things I've seen" -- Blind Melon
  25. Hey there Skycat, I live and jump regularly in Colorado, but I'd be hard pressed to tell you any info that Faitor didn't already cover. I consider Brush to be my home DZ, mainly because the people who jump there are VERY cool! One correction to the emails listed above, Brush is only about 90 minutes from the Denver / Boulder area (not 2 and 1/2 hours). Calhan would definitely be my second choice (and it's only a little further). Wish you could've been here last weekend for our Spring Boogie.....had a Super Otter and King Air. It's my understanding that they're keeping the King Air for the rest of the season. Might satisfy that turbine penchant of yours :) Feel free to PM me if you'd like any additional info.
