Yep...you're right. I got in a few jumps there on Saturday and the conditions were exactly as you described. And you're right too about playing it kinda safe when familiarizing yourself with a new DZ. B~ -
I just got married last weekend.....my wife doesn't jump anymore, but still works manifest and loves being at the dz. Best wishes to you! B~

We went to look for them, and while I was rooting around, I noticed one of the cows had something white on it's rear end. I walked over and lifted up the tail, and sure enough, there was a golf ball with my wife's monogram on it - stuck right in the middle of the cow's butt. That's when I made my big mistake." "What did you do?" the doctor asked? "Well," the man replied, "I lifted the cow's tail and yelled to my wife, "Hey, this looks like yours!" ...I don't remember much after that." B~

My fiance and I met at the DZ (both doing our first tandems) and loved it so much that we started AFF together. I guess I was a little more gung-ho about it than she was, and thus she never quite finished. However, she loves the vibe of the DZ and works manifest to....(are you sitting down )....pay for my jumps! Damn, I love that girl B~

I got this in an email this morning and thought is was worth passing along... “WE WOULD RATHER DO BUSINESS WITH 1000 AL QAEDA TERRORISTS THAN WITH A SINGLE AMERICAN” This sign was prominently displayed in the window of a business in Philadelphia. You are probably outraged at the thought of such an inflammatory statement. One would think that anti-hate groups from all across the country would be marching on this business... And that the National Guard might have to be called to keep the angry crowds back. But, perhaps in these stressful times one might be tempted to let the proprietors simply make their statement . . . We are a society who holds Freedom of Speech as perhaps our greatest liberty . . .And after all, it is just a sign. You may ask what kind of business would dare post such a sign? Answer: A Funeral Home
