  1. He did approx 200 practice jumps for that stunt. Approx 40 to 80 of them opening at 1000 feet above the net, with FAA approval. Normal skydiving rig with Epicene canopy in it, I believe. Some info on Luke's Youtube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/user/pilotjumper/videos ...and on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Luke-Aikins-998360006849439 https://www.facebook.com/luke.aikins

  4. I wonder how is determining that he is in the center of the “box” he referred to? It would be smart to use some form of laser tracking to verify what his eyes are telling him. jmo Please see this
  5. At 300 feet or so he will roll over on his back. This is the best position to fall into the net at 120 mph (stunt-man way).

  7. I wonder how landing on his back is going to work. Maybe a big net with counter weights and pulleys or something to slow his dumb ass down when (if) he hits it. Correct: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRxyZpEmdVw&feature=youtu.be

  11. California, USA. At the same time, he says he will NOT have ANY parachute on him. So, did they get the FAA exemption to do that? Daily updates: https://www.facebook.com/Luke-Aikins-998360006849439/?fref=ts
  12. I believe there will be a seperate audible (from Cypres) in your helmet, communicating with the Cypres AAD in your rig.
